Think you're missing the point a bit here - the whole Brexit thing and the slide towards the right worldwide has made people feel much more that it's alright to once again reveal their barely veiled xenophobia. When Poch and Koeman were here, that hadn't happened, plus they were relatively successful so no resentment had built up against them. Sure, you can dislike Puel, or not rate him. That's fine. But the likes of Brexit have suddenly made it loosely 'acceptable' amongst the brainless to then pull nationality in as part of their insult arsenal.

I'm in too. He absolutely doesn't deserve half the abuse he's been getting, sorry about that Claude. There's still a lot of us who appreciate that it's been a tough season for a multitude of reasons and ultimately we've done alright and have a good base to build from.
count me in, he has had a very difficult task. I'd love another season for him to to really show us what he can do.
