    Against the mackems....

we can then put him back on the bench until the next derby game. i just hope that pardew knows the score when it comes to shola and his super human ability to put those of a red and white dispostion to the sword...

we really need to play with more pace this game though. i want to see marveaux at some stage and give obertan a run out. Dan Gosling knows about derbies having scored against liverpool while in the blue of everton.

I expect tiote to be better this game and if we have a new left back in jonas can streth them more at the back too.

We have to play him. Tactics and common sense go out the window and something strange happens deep within Shola on derby day. He has to play, and no one knows why. Hope Sammy comes on as well, he was in really good form in pre season and has the mackem killer DNA in him, hopefully.

Shola "the defiler of the damned, the ruiner of the unrighteous, the spoiler of the savages, the mauler of the mediocre" Ameobi must play in order to teach his prodigy Sammi "the slayer of the shadowed people" Ameobi how it's done.

we all know that shola grows by 6 inches and gains 15mph in speed when the moon comes out on the eve of a derby but does pardew?? i have a feeling we'll be seeing Ba and Obertan as pardews overhaul continues.

Maybe we should bombard his mailbox with requests that shola plays but this game and the reverse fixture ONLY.

Ahh yes, the Derby. The 2 games a season where every Toon fan wants Shola to start so he can continue his scoring record against the Mackems.

Look there was no one more upset than me on Saturday at the two goons up front. It just wasn't funny. But you have to pick him on Saturday. I think a law was passed about this anyway.

I have nightmares about that sitter he missed very early on at SOL, maybe he has lost his midas touch for this fixture.
    Or maybe I'm chronically paranoid!

I hate the Shola-Ba partnership, it doesnt work at all, but we have to play it on Saturday, then replace Shola with a player who is actually suited to playing alongside Ba.

We should all transfer Shola into our fantasy football teams too, bound to get at least a hat-trick.

The way the NUFC world works - reverse psychology is key!

Please Pardew resist temptation and leave Shola on the bench!

i reckon we should just drop Ba and go for pace on the flanks in this game. its never gonna happen but shola needs to play this game and the two of them just don't work together.

Whatever happens we will be playing into Sunderlands hands if he adopt the tactics used in first half against Arsenal. Hopefully with Cabaye being slightly sharper that wont happen1

I reckon it's in his contract that he starts against the Mackems.
