It is funny! I'm sure that even PISKIE will see that it's funny.

They've been hammer and tongs at each other since Time began and I am not going to side with either of them. I think they as just as good equally just as bad as each other! I despair at both, but I have chuckled at both. Their legendary spat is one of the highlights of this board (I've watched it afar on and off for a while). If it could be kept away from the more serious threads I doubt that many would complain.

If you do get to meet him, be aware that he has a preference for being called by his real name... Quentin

I'm sure there's a very good reason why you call him that!!

Is it because he's very "crisp" with his retorts?

Pretty much spot on, mate. His pack of bordering on obsessive chasers need to take a look at themselves too.

It takes more than one to create the silly situation that's been happening. And, as has been alluded to, some of the those hounding him just don't know when to stop.

If he'd listened to what brb said and kept it all to one thread, this wouldn't have happened. I would have been happy with that, as would I think, the others who'd have enough of it.

I don't see why the participants cannot pick and create threads to have their dustups on? They all clearly like it and others (such as myself) like to watch it so I cannot see why a suitably convenient and mutual arrangement could not be made! Also (and I have got to say this because it strikes me as being blindingly obvious and hidden in plain sight) anyone who posts on a thread that HIAG creates cannot surely bleat about it if it all goes pear!! Perhaps I am missing something but isn't HIAG regarded almost universally as the board's wum? Surely if you post on one of his threads you have got to be prepared to be fair game??? I'd be annoyed if he brought his brand of mayhem with him to a thread created by someone else intended for serious chat, but the boot has got to be on the other foot for threads he creates himself!!

The problem was, firstly the board was getting taken over by nothing but Wum threads. Either created about Hiag, or by him about one of his detractors or their team in response.

Then, even the few threads that weren't Wum threads were getting hijacked by Hiag and his 'fan club'

It was getting ****ing tedious beyond belief.

<laugh> ... or, alternatively of course, you could look at it like this ... HIAG creates thread / posts about others and becomes fair game ... which is largely what happens tbf <ok>

The enjoyment is twofold ... he gets his out of the attention ... others get to rip the piss out of him and chuckle when he can't handle it ... but surely you are not suggesting that HIAG should be able to post with impunity and no accountability? ... I suspect that only HIAG would agree with that <laugh>

Absolutely not!! If you dish it out you have to be prepared to take it back. That has always got to be the rule. I fully understand that everyone should respect the general tone of a thread. But that has got to apply to all posters not just HIAG. All joking aside for a minute, it cannot be right for HIAG to make a post on a thread only for a gang of idiots to go piling in after him and then blaming HIAG for causing a disruption!! If however HIAG makes a thread and everyone goes piling in that is a completely different matter unless it is clear from the tone of the thread that it is intended for serious debate. I just think that posters need to look at themselves and make better judgment calls if this forum is going to survive as a fun place to be. I think that is what everyone wants.
