We run an English school and are always looking for an advertising strategy to attract 4 year olds that's better than the opposition. So far my solar powered dancing Mr. Bean and Queen II in the window seem to be more effective then blanket leafletting!

Wahey.! Star Trek is coming back to television. New series Star Trek Discovery returns over 50 years after the original series. First official photo release:

Here's the cast. Notably a British actor in Jeremy Isaacs playing Captain Lorca:
Sonequa Martin-Green as First Officer Michael Burnham, Doug Jones as science officer Saru, Anthony Rapp as fellow science officer Stamets, Terry Serpico as Starfleet admiral Anderson, Maulik Pancholy as chief medical officer Nambue, Sam Vartholomeos as junior Starfleet officer Connor, Mary Wiseman as Cadet Tilly, James Frain as Sarek, astrophysicist and father of Spock, Chris Obi as Klingon leader T’Kuvma, Mary Chieffo as L’Rell, a Klingon commander, Shazad Latif as Lieutenant Tyler, Rekha Sharma as Commander Landry, Kenneth Mitchell as Kol, Clare McConnell as Dennas, Damon Runyan as Ujilli, Rainn Wilson as Harry Mudd, and Michelle Yeoh as Captain Philippa Georgiou.

The Star Trek philosophy of optimism and discovery will pervade the series. Something we could do with in reality again.

Just seen another of Boris's wonderful comic moments made me think if he has enriched the figurative language of the UK populace? In another setting referring to JW Whisky is quite funny. What would Edmund in Blackadder have made of having some "clinkey, clinkey?"

Doesn't seem very clever to me Dave, the store was open but they still came in through the roof!

Covert entrance. They wouldn't want to announce their presence to security. Besides, it's actually very clever. being open means that security would be distracted.

A bit dense to walk in through the store and do the cash machine. Think someone might have spotted them ......

I've kept hens for the last 10 years, they're free range in a fenced off part of the garden, but only a 4' fence on 2 sides. I shut them in their coop at night but they've always been free range. We get foxes in the field we back onto, but never lost any of the girls to them as they don't come near the garden in daylight hours. I foxproofed the coop by screwing a piece of welded mesh to the bottom so that foxes can't dig their way in. They can make a bloody mess of your garden as they will eat your plant, and like to dig, but if you can let them have access to a patch of lawn, you'll hardly need to mow it.
We've just lost 2 old birds so will be getting 4 new ones to bring the contingent up to 6.
They live in Cluckingham Palace :emoticon-0100-smile

I'm shocked, I read this on the way home from work and literally stopped talking to my wife mid sentence. I frequently listen to Superunknown and the first Audioslave album and seem to be one of the few that didn't mind his Scream collaboration with Timbaland either. Your last sentence is spot on, it's a great loss to music.

I have never heard of him until this moment. Probably as I have zilch interest in this kind of music.

Fair enough, however he is still pretty diverse. I'd recommend a song called Disappearing Act from one of his solo albums. Would probably be unlike what you're expecting but still showcases his vocal talent.
