From the Racing Post article on Alan Swinbank: "Jockey Ben Curtis, who struck up a profit partnership with Swinbank in recent years, tweeted: "I'm shocked and devastated to hear of the passing of Alan Swinbank. We had some great days together, 50-plus winners and 300 rides. I will be forever grateful to him for supporting me when I first arrived in the UK. Condolences to Sally, family and all the team. Rest In Peace Swinny." The tributes flowed on social media with trainer Ralph Beckett tweeting: "RIP Alan Swinbank. Did the trainers course with him, and from then on he used to tell folk we were at school together. #topman." Trainer Jonjo O'Neill tweeted: "Very sad to hear Alan Swinbank has died. A good friend and brilliant trainer. His family are in our thoughts." Swinbank married twice and is survived by sons Julian and AJ, daughter Michelle and four grandchildren." Love the comment from Ralph Beckett
real shame that the two stars today are non runners. it looks a very weak renewal of the Dante suddenly. Will Cracksman still go for the Derby???
I quite like the look of Kevin Ryan's Syphax in the Dante. Looks the sort to prosper over this longer trip and can reverse form with Forest Ranger. Frank on board though so not one to go mad about
Poor yesterday, today's attempt through the card. Move In Time Queen's Trust Crystal Ocean Victory Bond Brian The Snail Taifbalady Grumeti
Sad news to hear about Alan Swinbank. He gave a friend of mine many decent rides in recent years and therefore I have followed him as a trainer closely. May he rest in peace.
Sad to hear that Oddy.Chris Cornell also passed away- Big fan of Soundgarden back in the day, man had a cracking voice. Noel Meade should be wining the bumper at Clonmel but 6/4 is to skinny for me so will look to double it up with something else.
My telly picks to avoid are: Justice Good Black Princess Crystal Ocean Murad Khan Good luck - you'll need it with these
Just been looking at this, suspected suicide they're saying such a shame. Liked Soundgarden and the first Audioslave album is a belter
Really sad news, such a great voice. Out of Exile was played to death on my cd player. In a bit of a minority but also liked the bond theme
