This is not a tip – in fact it is probably advise to steer clear of this one – as one of my gaffer’s syndicate horses runs in the last at Beverley, Dyna Might, but it ran abysmally first time out and they are stepping it up in trip. For what it is worth, I think the winner will come from the front two in the betting in a poor race. Hardly a year goes by without there being a talking horse from the Sir Michael Stoute stable. Looking at the betting, I guess that half of Newmarket already knows this one. My mate was told to back Crystal Ocean ante post to win the Dante on Thursday and to win the Derby. Looking at the form, the Sea The Stars colt won a ten furlong maiden race at Nottingham on its seasonal bow, so it must be catching Newmarket pigeons on the gallops.
I think Chapter Seven has a fair old chance of the landing the lucky last at Killarney. Running off top weight is an obvious negative but the yard is in rude health at the moment.Skybet are paying an extra place so happy to go 6s ew.
I had my scouts out around 'nam this morning and the whole place is in mourning, it's gone from a crowdsourced movement for a statue of the great man to them standing at the county border with pitchforks. Also in unconnected news a chap sat at the station was spotted crying into his skinny latte whilst reading The Needles biography.
If it is being said that Sir Barney is retiring then I hope it is only temporary. The forum is a sadder place without him. I have retired twice but in my case no-one noticed. I'd also like to point out that is was SBC who first mentioned Crystal Ocean on here. As in most things he was ahead of the field. Though I did back him up with some alacrity on the Saturday of his Colwick Park win. Come back Barney!
One for the upper class I noticed yesterday but wasn't brave enough to post it yesterday as nobody knows who anybody is anymore or more infuriatingly what the pecking order is SOCIALITES who seen RED anyway not trying to upset anyone . I have had a few sheckles on it at 8s as it looks to have a good shout.
Going to take a chance on two later both who are coming back from long breaks Zaria at 14s Fantasy justifier at 10s
Roibeard @ 12/1 Killarney 8:50. He's about where he needs to be in respect to his handicap rating and this is an open looking event on paper. Hopefully he can settle in behind the pace and come with a good run late on. I see Ste has placed Chapter Seven up and if he was on his game he would be hard to beat but his run lto left something to be desired with the winner also bombing next time out.
Stop start pace and being held onto close up didn't help my one who needed a strong pace and be aimed at it. Bay Hill withdrawn so a big R4 coming the way of the winner.
I know that I am known for being a bit sarcastic and cynical but on this occasion I was being straight – I never had a penny on it because in its previous race it had finished third last having been third last the whole race and the race comment read “always in rear”. Amazingly, the gaffer did show up for work today after drinking Beverley dry. He was grumbling because his winnings from Betfair were going to take time to arrive on his debit card. No word yet if they will be supplementing her for the Oaks...
