Dusted off the 'Dre: 2001' album this weekend. Hadn't listened to it for about 5 or so years. Every tune is an absolute classic, plus Nate, Snoop, Ice Cube, Eminem all represent on it.

It has to go in that list somewhere, possibly even taking out NWA, Biggy, or possibly Wu-Tang.

Any of you that haven't listened to it for years, go check it again. Each track I was like 'Yeeees big choone' I still remember most of the lyrics from those self mirror rap battles.

Called it...it's right up there in my top 2 for them reasons. Every tune is a classic.

Apart from 'Still Dre' I'm going for 'Watcher' as my fave track if I had to choose one.

There's no album that could displace Enter The Wu for me.

Dre's Chronic and 2001 albums were both better than anything NWA put out imo.

Very good album, but Public Enemy for me are just a tame version of NWA.

That album would be in my top 10 though <ok>

Public Enemy had a better flow and the message of empowering black people will always outweigh the anger of NWA.

Not for me. Public enemy literally blew the doors off when it came to raising the agenda of young black men in a white dominated conservative state. NWA were really important for that too, but public enemy did it first and in my opinion with more articulation.
