Not a matter of ageing to disagree for me, we have an established pattern, I can't ignore it personally. I don't want Moyes myself but what I want doesn't matter. The club is finally focusing on fixing the club in the right areas(financial security). He doesn't need to sack Moyes while that's going on, we all need to take it on the chin in the meantime. You deciding the Manager is the best place to start simply doesn't make it so. It could be the worst place to start from a financial viewpoint.

Easy to spend other people's money on paper fella without seeing the state of our finances. Going by what we know from 12 months back(figure just published) we can't afford any more severance packages. For all we know an extra severance package now could completely ruin our repayment plan to the bank and risk throwing us into administration. It's called in in 2019. It's has to be the priority as creditors will strip our assets.

If we do well on player sale it could change Short's mind, but than it's going to eat in to the money we've got to try and build a 40 man squad in the next two months.

Easy to just say sack him, reality takes our full situation into account. All we know is that it's very very bad. Apart from dropping a few out of contract players last season, it's hard to see how our finances have improved radically. As I've said to Rooch, we'd need to generate money to sack him. Bank won't give us it, short won't give us it, we're not turning a profit. How do we sack him?

Its bloody hard to disagree with what you say.

But money aside, I just don't think Moyes can rebuild and motivate a young squad, which is what we'll very probably have.

    But you're very probably right.

As I said before, we will have to agree to disagree, for me...I can't wait to the back of this useless Pillock...the sooner the better. short is a multi Billionaire.....he f ucked up this club, he will have to fix it.

I'd love him gone too. Hoped he'd walk but he clearly wasn't willing to go without a settlement. So we clearly couldn't even afford that let alone a full contract payoff.

Once we've paid that bank off, all the loans are to Short so our future will be safe and we'll be able to maneuver a bit more. No way he'd put us into administration, he'd lose too much of his investment. The Bank however would send in the administrators in a heartbeat. Then we're at risk of losing players for a pittance, our land, our training ground even our stadium. It's got to take priority, even over Moyes and a promotion push. Short has a lot of damage to undo, I'm preparing myself for things to get even worse before it gets better personally.

Like I said not a matter of disagreeing, more about accepting the situation, we both want him gone, we don't disagree. He will have to fix it we both agree, personally I think he should put more personal money into the club to sack moyes and clear the bank debt, I'm sure we agree on that too. But he won't. That's not something of opinion we can agree or disagree on. It's the way the owner is choosing to try and fix it. It simply is what it is.

We have debts being called in to a 3rd party in 2019, that's 100% true. Despite our recent loss we shaved 30m off our debt in the last publicised finances, looks like it's important to Short as he's on addressing it. Bain said finances are very tight and the last accounts reflective as we juggle our debts with trying to run the club. I think we'll honor the debt to the bank, but I doubt it's not going to leave us much room for other stuff.. We'll have a squad of 18 on july the 1st with about 10 expected to move on. We've got to build a 40 man squad and manage our debt, had we stayed up the cost of bringing the squad up to standed would probibly cost a lot more than it would to build a championship squad of 40, if we could afford to sack Moyes on top of all that, surely we would have when we had a chance of staying up wouldn't we? Surely?

I think we'll be alright, but I think it's going to be grim for at least year 1. Just can't see Short caring too much to what happens on the pitch, so long as we don't look like going down again I think he'll be happy for a midtable to lower table performance year 1 while he takes advantage of the low wage to high prize money ratio that the first para payment will bring. Hopefully it will generate enough revenue to get rid of the bank debt. A year 1 promotion push will reduce that revenue massively which is why I'm not expecting much from next season.

I enjoy reading your comments Bri <cheers>

Someone once told me that if I had a long weekend free, looking into the joint ownership subsidiaries of certain EPL club owners, sometimes licensing payments etc. of certain clubs could from publicly available records including offshore be followed very interestingly by mere mortals without a BDC.

Ps. If interested, a walk down Wigmore St might lead you off-shore to an even longer one before returning a little leaner :emoticon-0138-think

Both of our clubs, fantastically supported (in fact, both sets of fans couldn't do any more).....yet at the mercy of the money men.

Highlighted above - How can injuries account for Moyes tactical ineptness and lack of faith in promising youngsters (Pickford ,Gooch and Honeyman apart ) when facing such a injury list.
His public statement that they were not good enough for the first team was disgraceful and emotionally damaging to them - confidence and talent goes together. That they are now in the U23level equivalent European final must be so embarrassing for him.
Khazri - not as good as an overaged Piernaar or the inept Gibson. <doh>
    Antchibe - never a wide man <doh>
Yes we have had horrendous number of injuries but why resort to tried 2nd rate players ......:emoticon-0138-think - hold on cos Moyes bought most of them.
He should have at least tried some youngsters from the bench.
If BSA had been here I can guarantee they would have tried and showed willing on the pitch-
But I'm with you - hope we don't drop further and stay in the championship - till we are ready and viable to excel in the premier.
But the way the TV funding £££££ are we ill suffer loss of ££££ big time if we stay down for more than 2 seasons -
    <ok> for next year

Talking out of your hoop again.

I don't want Moyes, but he's right our youngsters aren't ready. They are doing well at their level.

They had a chance to prove themselves against league 1 and 2 teams in that ****ty cup, but they failed.

You wanted them thrown in at the deep end of a struggling premier league season? It would have damaged them in so many ways.

You can't say **** all to him. He's the empty comment man. Been through this with him no getting through to him. He seems to think Josh Robson is the most deserving young player, he isn't even the best Robson ffs. I bet he's never seen him kick a ball.

It's comments like this which makes him such an easy wum to take the piss out of.

Swansea city: 9 managers in 10 years - Majors: 1
    Sunderland: 8 managers in 10 years - Majors: 8

    Tedious as usual.

You are really showing a small club mentality with this obsession over our club. We are going to the Championship and we will still be twice as big as you.

Don't hate us cos you ain't us :emoticon-0105-wink:
