Glad you raised it. A Spurs special which went on 'til 8.00pm doesn't really fit with the agenda many claim Sky have. I hope they would feature any other club in the same way when a significant event like today occurs in the future.
We played well though bit nervy at the end (wouldn't have been a spurs game without it). Deserved the win and pleased we end our last season unbeaten at home. Now. Onwards and upwards
New avatar for the remainder of the season. Cheers HBIC. And thanks for the youtube link too, I had to run out right after full time.
I had tears running down my face as our former players came on to the field. As Gilly came out, that really did it. I cried, even the skies cried.......and at the finale came the rainbow. That must have been Bill Nick glowing with pride! THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES. As I approach the end of my term on earth and The Lane comes to the end also......look forward to the glories to come! COME ON YOU SPURS!
Lost control at Ginola. ****ing hell. He kept me alive as a kid. Kept me believing that the club hadn't lost its way completely.
A fine send off for WHL, and it`s always nice to wipe the smile off Moanrinho`s face. Today underlined the importance of Walker, two or three times Trippier was skinned by Martial and eventually their goal came down our right hand side, as soon as Walker came on Martial found things a lot harder. I hope the Walker rumours are not true, we`ll do well to find an as good replacement if we sell him and Trippier is not quite up to Kyle`s level in my opinion.
When a top club faces a ground move after 118 years, has a magnificent history of playing football the right way and some of the games finest moments at that stadium to boot I am sure they will consider it. And maybe throw in a Chairman who has been a lifelong fan who was fundamental in saving the club from financial ruin for good measure might swing it!! COYS!!!!!
Just said the same on the end of season thread. Unfortunately, Walkers disinterest in the celebrations at the end could be a clue to his plans!
I thought Walker looked fine, all things considered. Clearly has a lot on his mind but seemed relaxed and pleased to be there. Took the time to take his partner and kids around the pitch instead of just pegging it off. Bottom line is if he has any sense whatsoever, he won't go anywhere.
Thank goodness Teddy didn't turn up in that horrendous artful dodger get up he wore for the Spammers' farewell do. Obviously donated it back to Oxfam as soon as he got home.
