    in a couple of years

    From BBC

1720: More news of a player not going anywhere, for now anyway.
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce admits Black Cats midfielder Jordan Henderson could be on his way...but not for a few seasons yet. "All of the big managers all around the country have asked to be kept informed if we ever decide to sell," said Bruce. "There will come a time undoubtedly when he'll want to go and play in the Champions League and want to win Champions League trophies and further his England career. But I think, for the next couple of years at least, this is the place for him to learn his trade."

Well, as long as he doesn't hand in a transfer request, I don't mind. Not really gonna miss him, I feel.

I like Henderson a lot and to be perfectly honest i'd expect him to be off sooner. Let's hope we are at the point in a few years where we can comfortably keep him.

We keep moving on, surely a Champions League spot in a few years isn't beyond the realms of possibility......?

Wouldn't worry me if he went, provided we got a decent price for him.

Lets talk £40m+ in this inflated silly marketplace. If Carroll is valued at £35m, then anything less for a lad with double the EPL appearances would be a give away.

Any takers at that and I'll drive the taxi to Old Trafford myself.
