I didn't make a point, I was just hoping you would continue with your post as you told us you surmised something but not why you mentioned it.
    Hence the ?

It annoys and amuses everybody to the same extent <ok>.
You don't let Liverpool beat you or have the temerity to stop them scoring you have "parked the bus", they have never just been too poor to get through your defence (Spurs are sadly going the same way).
When they stop you from scoring it's because they defend as a team and/or from the front with a high press and people tracking back (10 men behind the ball <whistle>)
Hard to explain how teams can beat them 2-0 whilst parking the bus though .

Manage the squad. Look at the money squads have, be smart like Madrid.

An unbiased read through our post-match comments would show that that is exactly what we do say.
It has been a repeated criticism after every poor result against teams that display a resolute and organised defence. I can understand the Saints guy not knowing this because he only visits around the time of our matches against each other, but you're camped out on here and really ought to know better.
If you're going to have a go at least try and be honest and accurate. <ok>

I agree totally with that, but the old "bus parking" excuse tends to come out in every thread where you struggle (you know this is true).
I do tend to generalise sometimes when I mention boards but I think most people realise I am not saying "all" on said boards.

I read the top 7 boards mostly and a few others of teams I take interest in, I can honestly say that the Liverpool board and Spurs board are like twins, the only two that mention ref decisions in match day threads more than the actual match (even in games they are not involved in) and complain about the opposition tactics instead of their own teams failure to combat them.

Errrrrr...D...you've argued with me (consistent at least) about me whining about ref decisions in a few matches that didn't include LFC...we may disagree on the subject but it's not a team bias...quite a few others on here have expressed the same.

Same with the "park the bus"

My personal opinion (expressed a few times) it's a stupid catch all.

    1) Chelsea, Juventus ....have a defence first mentality...with exceptional defenders that can also go past an exceptional midfield and forward line in a devastating counter..but same players can dominate posession and unlock a negative defensive team.

    2) a "negative" defensive team...one that knows they have limited options and is disciplined and asks the question of us supposed big guys...if it's nil nil or worse then they've done their job brilliantly and we've been found out.

    3) a multi multi million pound team that spent most of its money on attacking players year after year but plays like the smaller "negative" team ...to hide the fact that they aren't a Chelsea or Juventus...they're just a really really expensive West Ham.

I mean we've spent and wasted **** loads on our squad...but its always been an honest attempt...your last three managers all spent the millions on forwards then handcuffed them in so many ways ....

I don't think too many will argue with that.
I did say not "all" on a board but admitted I am guilty of generalising (it's just easier or lazier to say X board or Y board) because that is the picture I get from most of the posts.

We all know Maureen usually spends his first season getting a couple of players he wants then shows the board why he needs more, we also know he is pretty good at getting it right in the second season.
My/our only hope is that he has matured enough (not so much in interviews, who gives a **** about them) to go more than 3 seasons and settle down at last to show he is not a quick fix wonder.

Fair enough...I may have done the all you manc thing in the past lol..

Ironically...I'm expecting him to buy big in defence and midfield...for all the keeper talk..I think romero is not going to be too much of a downgrade...been impressed with him in EL. It's that defence and Midfield.

    Just like us lol...

I see him getting another CB, a proper DM (hopefully ball player) and a Striker. Really not sure about his opinion on the FB situation, he seems to like Valencia and in truth he has been very good in that position (left backs we have 20 of :bandit:)
Goalkeeper should not be a problem (I don't think de Gea will leave anyway), Romero is better than most and we have two really good young lads coming through

It really has been just a different approach by our managers to mostly the same weaknesses. Too many players taking too many touches and slowing play down...

It doesn't matter if you defend from front or back ...you need an entire team good enough to do it...

Both our set of forwards produce chance after chance....they just spend too much time trying to create them rather than finish what a quality midfield would give them..

Will be interesting for both managers next year as it really should be well on the way to "their" teams...if only first 11.

I'll let you work that one out! A club with finances in the Top 3 in the world, a supporter base that is in the Top 3 (Real with Ronaldo and Barca with Messi) have more, just doing enough to beat Celta. United with that squad should have been winnng their matches in the EL this season with style and in comfort.

On to the final: How about flying an EU flag with United for Europe and putting two fingers up to the Tories in Stockholm.

In league cup. Second game they only won cos we threw everyone forward late.

However. The whole point is not about individual games but overall whole season results.

West brom = 30% possession and score A goal.

Do southampton want to be that
.. cos frankly you can do lfc until lfc actually get wise and change system.. but overall you will b at best midtable.

League cup semi final you played brilliantly and shown how to play counter attacking football.

Last Sunday it was 90 minutes of just defending with no intention to attack, especially when we were there for the taking.

    This this this this this
    x a million.

    It's football, not bookball.

"That should have been a yellow"
"Finally, the **** has been booked"
"He should have been off for that"
"5th time he has escaped a booking"

Only on the Spurs and Liverpool boards do we see this constantly.
