You are most probably right on the 5 year plan. As for the new owner; l would have that sort of decision would be left to after the owners are on board; or maybe they already on board?
As DTLW said if someone told me Puel had been fired I wouldn't be up in arms about it, but I would feel some regret/disappointment that it hasn't worked out for him. Looks like the next manager to leave us will be due to the board, and not outside circumstances for a change!

I very much doubt the fans opinion of Puel counted for much inside St Mary's. I would suggest the number of players wanting to leave if he was still manager has had a much greater impact.

How quickly is quick? Not suggesting him as a replacement, but read today that Ranieri is waiting for his next job in the Premiership. Would certainly like it sorted and announced in the same sentence as Puel is leaving, just so we can start sorting out players' futures and deciding on who to bring in. No major international championship this summer, so it would be nice to sort things before players go on their hols, rather than once pre season training has started.
This. I think he should get another season imo.but if all the rumors on here about player unrest and fallouts with the manager are true then i think it would be better puel went. Again,IF the rumors are true. Would prefer he has a fair crack at the whip next season tho
Ba Basically this. If he's going I want him to know he doesnt have to come back from his own holiday. I assume they have some sort of end of season review meeting before he leaves, that's when I would do it.
