You get back what you put out. I think he's got a better ride at Saints than he may have got at most other Premiership clubs. If the manager himself doesn't come across as enthusiastic about his own team, how do you expect anyone else to be?

He's probably a very nice chap, but not to sugar-coat it, he's boring. Boring manager = Boring football = Bored players = Bored Fans.

 

Footballers are performing artists, if you will. People are paying to watch them perform. That's how they earn money. Without these people willing to pay to watch them perform, that profession wouldn't even exist. They would be just be regular guys like you and me playing 5 a side in the local park.
When people are paying to watch someone performing, they will cheer him if they like his performance, and jeer him if they don't. That's how that profession works. If it's too stressful for you to be criticised by the crowd, don't play football professionally. Come and play five a side with me and my mates, we are always couple of players short.

Yep. He and his family haven't settled. Fans are starting to turn on him, it's best for all involved.

Looks like the writing's on the wall then. Puel has been hounded out by some of our "fans". He got us to a cup final and he's being forced out. Disgusted with some of our fans.

 

Hopefully he's leaving mainly because his family hasn't settled in the area rather than because of the fans.

 

I think it's kosher, but I don't think that it is fair, i'll go along with what the club decides.

 

I think the saints fans are cause of not being able to settle, everywhere he goes he nust get abuse especially of late.

 

Probably more to it than that Tom. More like there are issues with the squad. The danger for the club has more to do with losing players who have become disenchanted.

 

A few players are unsettled (obviously for different reasons).

 

If we do change manager, I hope they do it quickly at the end of the season as I don't want another season without a proper pre-season...
