4.05 CHESTER- STRADIVARIOUS- 6/4 Imo is a group horse running in a handicap! Gosden isn't scared about running these talented types in these types of races did it with Jack Hobbs, would have run Tagroodah had the ground not gone to pot! Has the pedigree to match a group horse like And Won going away lto- this will be the last time you will get odds agaisnt for this horse running in a non group race (if he does that is) but fully expect to go on to better things!
3:35 Chester - BLAKENEY POINT 7/1 If you're a filthy eway punter like me, Sky are paying 6 places (1/5 odds). I know less about flat than I do about jumps but 7/1 for a front runner drawn in stall 1 at Chester stood out for me - won well on return and has also previously won over the course. Has a great chance of actually winning, 'nailed on' (famous last words) for a place in the first 6 so well worth an eway poke in my opinion.
Morning, morning. I think I’ll go a bit exotic (cor blimey I’ll be going on me hols to Benidorm next!) re my recommendation in the card commencer at Chester (1.50). I think REQUINTO DAWN and YOGI’S GIRL are some way better than their opposition today and this superiority should be even further enhanced, in my view, as their main market rivals have been absolutely hammered by the ‘Draw Gods’ as they are berthed in the 2 ‘car park’ stalls. I can’t though split the 2 that I’ve mentioned and so will go with a Reverse Exacta. In the big ‘un it has to be WHO DARES WINS (3.35) for me. I’ve been mentioning him for this for a while and the county would party, as I believe those Chavs say, ‘big styley’ if he obliges for the Ponsonby/King axis. Who Dares Wins has run before at this unique venue and he dotted up by 5 lengths. Furthermore, the trip will be no problems as he was placed over 21 furlongs at the Cheltenham Festival. There will be more animals than not, in this heat people, who unlike Who Dares Wins won’t be suited by either course or trip – but both should benefit this gelding! Furthermore, a perch of 92 looks most attractive and the barn are in smashing form as 4 of their last 10 runners have won. Good luck all.
Poor old Fair Eva. I see in the 1,000 Guineas, follow a scope, it was discovered she had inhaled ‘an abnormal amount’ of mud and grass. Cor blimey you might expect ‘kickback’ on the all-weather but in the Guineas…unlucky old girl. And I’m sure I speak for everyone on the forum when I say get well soon, me old love. Fair Eva’s next run is likely to be either the Irish 1,000 or Royal Ascot’s Coronation Stakes. I might even be in attendance at the latter.
*** CLASSIC LUNCH ALERT *** As I am at home today I just rustled up 2 rounds of Fish Finger Sandwiches on sliced wholemeal with Ketchup. It just doesn't get any better than that folks, 10/10
WRONG, WRONG, WRONG...Fish Finger sandwiches ALWAYS on thick white bread and doused in vinegar as opposed to ketchup!
Not wild about the track, and the trainer never wins for me so, it's Yorkidding (no I'm not) e/w in the Chester Cup. Some good racehorses have won this in the past, must say. Heck, better have a saver on Watersmeet too!
Wow, what a great race the mare ran to finish second in the big one at Chester. Kingscote gave her a perfect ride, so no complaints at all. Super race.
Mirage Dancer 9/2 for the Dee on friday if he is beaten by a horse named Cliffs Of Moher I will be utterly devastated, im not falling for the odds on favs defeat of Orderofthegarter, hes obviously a decent animal but that 2yo form on paper flatters him greatly, it may just be a rare gift in getting us this price about The Dancer
