Funny, that's what I was thinking, STH. Erm, regurgitating, perhaps? Salads, for example, sometimes don't go down too well.
Bustino started it by doing his 2000 Guineas write-up on Friday's Daily Thread - he seems to have put the whole forum into some sort of weird time-shift. I'm sure everything will be back to normal soon ......................
I think Eminent wants further,. Dream Castle wants shorter and I don't know enough about the French form. That leaves Churhill and Barney Roy. I would prefer to take 11/8 on Churchill than 100/30 on Barney Roy. Also will have and each way go with Lancaster Bomber.
Todays Scoop 6/Lucky 63: 1:50 Newmarket - Ballet Concerto 11/4 2:20 Newmarket - Muthmir 7/1 2:40 Goodwood - Zwayyan 4/1 3:15 Goodwood - Stepper Point 15/2 3:35 Newmarket - Barney Roy 3/1 3:40 Thirsk - Spring Offensive 7/1 In the 2:20 i've also got a combifc/tc on with Kimberella and Priceless added to my selection above.
Ey Churchill u gonna win the 2000 Guineas - oh yes yes - I'll get me coat - seriously do "the lads" feel confident ?! I am. Might get a smile from happy chops too
I agree, I think he handled the dip well and was running on in the dewhurst so the extra furlong could suit.
You are forgetting that, in keeping with his lineage, Churchill started out as a Liberal, and probably remained one in his heart. He may falter today. Al Wukair, on the other hand, will have no doubts about his allegiances; he'll be here for the money, and should be backed e/w to take at least some of it back to France.
In the last 10 runnings of the 2000Gns, no jockey has won it more than once. Will there be another newcomer today? Well, the only one ridden by a jockey who has won in the last 10 runnings is Churchill (Ryan Moore)
13.50 Ballet Concerto 14:20 Ornate 14:55 Seventh Heaven 15:35 Al Wukair 16:10 Victory Angel 16:45 Khalidi 17:20 Son Of The Stars
Not doing very well at Newmarket but can't say I was confident about any of them, except I am fairly confident that either Barney Roy or Eminent will win the 2000 Gns.
Having seen a few of AOB's interviews lately I couldn't help but notice he has totally overcome his tendency to start replies with "LIsten". Well done AOB. "Obviously" is now his favourite word
Silly little ew on Top Score 100/1 in the Guineas. Fanning riding for Godolphin is quite a rarity and he's no mug, there must have been plenty of other jockeys they could have put on board if they're just giving the horse a run out so I'm hoping he can nick a place
