Lundekvam would have got sent off in the second minute but he let go of Henry (I think?) about 0.1 seconds before Keith Stroud was ready to flag for a foul.

 

And to his credit Henry stayed on his feet. I actually spoke to Claus not long after that and he said he had so much respect for Thierry after that and he even said thank you to him - Henry shrugged and said apparently that why would he go down, he wanted to score. Top, top man (well not if you are Irish)

 

Always loved Henry for his sportsmanship that day.

But then, I'm not Irish.

 

I thought Rooney came in for some harsh treatment from the Northam that day, They spent the entire match singing about how fat he was, he took it all in good humor and when he scored, he stood in front of them and did a muscle-man pose, I thought; fair enough, but there were people around me who actually wanted to kill him!!!

 

Inspirational, Oriol....but I think we need something more cheery.

 

How about Virgil saying Saints supporters are the best in the World, much better than where I am moving to!

 

Tbh if an irish player did that 99% of our population would have been applauding him so i bare him little ill feeling

I don't think any player will be on their holibobs after the Hull game....they will want to put that right. They know we are better than that and will want to show it. Our team has never been one to fold...ever!

 

With all the rumours of unhappiness be interesting to see how we respond should we go a goal down.

Liverpool's a nice place for a weekend city-break, but I wouldn't go there for my hols personally.
