To play that card one would in turn have to factor every other teams bad luck. We've had good luck too, as have other teams. Where do you stop on this trail of logic, we're not isolated in the world of luck, every team is on the receiving end of both good and bad fortune, it doesn't make the difference. We haven't gone down on goal difference or the odd point. We can't bemoan bad luck. We've been utterly obliterated this season. We've lost 26 games (the most) and only won 5(the least). We've been ****e. Worst in the league. Deserve to go down 100%
The stats speak for themselves and we are where we are which I accept. I just provided some factual evidence on how we arrived at them which are not all down to the manager who stands or falls by his players performances. I do not think I factored luck into any part of my points.
Couldn't agree more. It is like blaming a water-logged pitch for your defeat. Makes sense only if your opponents happened to be fish
Just Those stats are damning! But I just wonder how those stats would've / could've looked without the horrendous injury list we had from the start of the season. Moyes, Short and the board are being dammed to hell from all sides (me included) but what if, just what if, we hadnt had the injuries we'd had. An impossible and unfair question. But. Just what if.
And you did look behind you, didn't you? You need neighbours buddy; even when they annoy you. Life would be pretty boring if you didn't face cheering up now and then
Sorry Comm it is going to be a long time before I am going to allow you to relax again Unless you have as much clout with the Mods on this forum as you had with Albert on the Newcastle forum and are able to get me banned
Every club gets injuries and as a result plays it's best line up less times than it can it's best. We've been woeful at best but over the season atrocious more times than any other club according to the table. You're not wrong to question Moyes performance.
Thats the key, we don't want to be too picky about future managerial personal qualities -most would be an improvement on Moyes - desire to be here, team organisation and faith in our high achieving youngsters -largely lacking in Moyes. Onward down a well worn road
I think you need to give Moyes a proper chance and give him time to shape a team. He inherited a shambles, let's face it.
Please don't derail every single thread following him round like a bad smell - it's tedious. Go back on your own dedicated thread for him, must be up to a few thousand views now surely?
Sorry Bri but it's all because of bad luck that we are relegated - us fans are unlucky enough to have watched that shower of ****e all season... So bad luck has played it's part... Just not in the end result of the season for the team!!
