I wonder if Pulis will publicly state his desire for Spurs to win the league and fire his troops up to do a number on Chelsea, similar to what he did last season before Albion played Spurs in the run in when he explained his wanting Leicester to win it.

If not injured, I wonder if Pulis will play agent Chadli
(who no doubt would be motivated for that game) ...

Unlikely given he can barely walk at the moment. He wishes he was fit enough to dive, was very good at it whilst at Southampton

The Poool do not win tonight, and Spurs are effectively in the
    CL group stages.

And the award for the most butthurt Arsenal blog headline of the day goes to...

Spurs win their cup final whilst Arsenal chase real honours

You know we broke Arsenal when, in a desperate bid to find solace, they forget that we're in the title race.

Tonight sees the latest installment of 'It's A Europa League Knockout'. Those competitors who took part at the weekend played all their jokers at once and amassed two points between the three of them.

Tonight's compmetitors, The Mousers of Liverpool, take on the Italians of Watford. Expect to see even more team members in hilarious outfits finding it impossible to keep on their feet whilst trying to score points. This weekend's comedy falls were classics from the Manchester teams.

No Stuart Hall, as well.........he's a kiddy fiddler and in prison but the 'lovable German clown' will be providing gurning and ridiculous interviews to add to the hilarity. Sounds almost worth watching?

It's a good sign, but it adds to the frustration of not winning anything.
More points, more goals scored, conceded the least and no silverware to show for it, so far.
Hopefully Pochettino will be able to get over that final hurdle soon.

No bigger statement than that of the <consolidification> that
Pochettino has brought to both on-pitch and transfer activity.

Not a lot going on in tonight's game, barring a ludicrously poor dive by Lucas.
Reffed booked him, which just shows how bad it was.

I think I may have RCLed that, as Can's just scored an overhead kick from nowhere! <laugh>
Probably a stretch to expect Watford to get anything from this one, to be honest.

I saw some 'falling over' coming. I didn't see Can falling over and putting the ball in the net. Hard to see Watford taking a point off Chelsea, let alone three.

Watford are simply on holiday and have been for weeks.
Can see Watford winning a tackle v Chelsea let alone a point

The Boro game on Monday night gives me a glimmer of hope. Smaller even than the glimmer I had when Sissoko signed, but a glimmer nonetheless. Had that bellend Kevin Friend not robbed them of 2 points against City, they would be in with a far better chance of survival. The likeliest scenario over the weekend is: Hull beat Sunderland at home to move 9 points clear of Boro, who must then win their 3 remaining games and hope that Hull fail to pick up another point from their final 2 fixtures.

Despite Friend's general twattery, the importance of Boro avoiding defeat against City cannot be understated with regards to our own slim title hopes. Had they lost to Pep and his Olympic Diving team, a probable Hull win on Saturday would've relegated Boro. As it is, they must win at Stamford Bridge to keep the flame of hope flickering and will (hopefully) really go for the game instead of rolling over to have their tummies tickled all the way down the trapdoor to the Championship.

Look, we need a miracle from here on in. I personally think if there is a slip in the stars, it will be against Boro. Our win against the Spam (he says with absolute confidence) will reduce the gap to just 1 point and pile the pressure on Chelsea. Boro's unlikely draw against City means that they are they only team Chelsea face who have anything left to play for. My greater worry is that WBA aren't just on the beach; they've sold the shop and simply moved into a retirement village! 5 games and 0 goals?! Agents Livermore and Chadli will have their work cut out for them methinks.

Kevin Strootman has been given a two-match ban for this dive in Roma's loss to Lazio:

Any chance of that happening over here? I'm going to guess no.

Do you mean retrospective, as the ref gives the penalty and books Biglia for dissent.

If yes, that is a start but still not enough as the offending player gets off with a 2 match ban whilst the opposition team could suffer far greater consequences as a result of the decision (cf. Swansea v United).

TV replays are the only way forward.
