"Why?" If he was not good enough to do it with Leeds than why would he be able to do it with us, arguably a far more difficult proposition.
I don't want anyone with hair like this selecting our starting eleven thank you very much... please log in to view this image
We cant keep changing managers season after season stick with and see what happens it might just get better?
Interesting bunch of replies so far. Personally I'd think definitely an upgrade. Ollie has to have a really good transfer market and start to season to get my full backing.
I echo Goldcoast. We need to give a manager more than a few months. I think the football would be more palatable under Monk, but if Ollie has just spent millions bringing new players in, would be take a loss by getting rid of his signings. Plus Financial Fair Play still over hanging our heads... Let Ollie sort out the next season or two. Who knows, a good pre season with one or two additions and one or two departures and we might....might just have a team to be proud of
Just as a personal preference, I would have preferred Gary Monk to Ian Holloway as our manager. However, we have no vacancy at present for a manager & neither should we create one. Rightly or wrongly Ollie was appoimted for two & a half years (?). Unless he resigns, he should be allowed more than the end of this season to achieve his aims.
There is a saying "if you do what you always do, then you'll get what you always get" - I would hope on this occasion we don't continue to ride the managerial merry-go-round - I'm not holding my breath though...
