My tip today, for any younger viewers or those who don't mind revisting the past,is don't miss Carry On Screaming on ITV3 at 4.50....A British masterclass in comedy that even the most staid critic begrudgingly admires!! GL all with any selections...I'm still trying to out any potential front runners for the chases at Tramore.
Pontefract 4.00 Bet of the day about to go off Baptist, taken out of a more competative race in the week so should take this without too much trouble. 2-1 a great price sould be 5-4
I was just about to post that Oddy......I must unashamedly admit to being a huge fan of vintage British comedy...
Anyhow...I quite like Fort George in the 4.25 at Tramore. I came to this conclusion circa 4.30am today but the penny has just dropped in my new(ish),Malbec for lunch, sober state. Local trainer does well here and the penny has just dropped with this nicely bred sort.He made all last time which will help here and gets weight off the top three. He has a little to find on ratings with Hampshire Express, who ran a cracker at Galway, but has never struck me as being straightforward. His presense will, however, guarantee a decent SP for my selection and i think he is worth a go in a decent little race.
What about Carry on Camping, with the campsite owner Josh Fiddler. "Membership fee". "How much?" "A pound" "Entrance Fee" "How much?" "Pound" "Rental charge" "How much" "Pound" "Per tent.............?" "............ or per person, whichever is greater" "I must say Mr Fiddler, you certainly live up to your name" Or in the same film Windsor Davies: "Hearnest, his you halright?"
Christ it's wellying down here .................. I expect to see Noah's ark float past the window any time now ................
...Is that the one where Jack Douglas is hus accomplice Oddy? Some great monikers for the assorted characters over the years..Sergeant Jock Strap and the Reverend Flasher in carry on dick....and my favourite character Gladsone Screwer played by the fantastic Sid James in Carry on Again Doctor along side Dr Carver,KW,Dr Nookie,JD and CH As Dr Ernest Stoppidge..
Dexter what about Bungit Din from Carry on up the Khyber Grand Art was terrible at his hurdles - unusual for a Tim Vaughan horse
Well, it's not totally to do with horses, but there is a horse mentioned: Having read that the film 'The Lone Ranger' is being put on hold, which was to to star Johnny Depp as the Lone Ranger's buddy, I feel obliged to offer the following: 'Tonto of The Carribean' To me, this would seem an excellent way to kill two remakes/sequels with one Hollywood stone. I reckon audinces would love to see Mr Depp atop a giant seahorse--I originally thought a walrus might be suitable--armed with just a pair of scissors while ridding the oceans of unruly mermaid hair. I'm not too sure who was cast as the Lone Ranger in the upcoming film, but I reckon a role as a marine vigilante hairdresser would be more than enough compensation. However, whoever has the part of the Lone Hairdresser would have to accept that wearing just a silly little mask that merely covers eyebrows and little else, would not be believed by today's audience as being anywhere near enough to conceal a person's identity. I've never seen a face on Facebook. Totally bored, eez.
Eez....you're not very upbeat today!..were you a carry on afficianado? Oddy..the Khasi of Kalaber and the third foot and mouth regiment..!!..love it..
Hey! How come everyone else in this section has 31 'Achievements' while I only have 3? I have achieved many things, not least nearly winning a beer and hot dog competition! I'm off!
