Look, a win yesterday would have been great, but a loss would have been a disaster. I watched Southampton against Chelsea and thought we'd be lucky to get anything and a point had to be our minimum requirement. We created chances, stopped a very good side form playing, hit the post and nearly stole it. If Niasse's chance at the death had gone in, would you have been hailing Marco as having got it right... ?... too right you would... !!!!!!
I don't know what all the panicking is about. Swansea will lose to Everton and draw against Sunderland and West Brom
Form with three games left. 7) Hull City. W W L L W D. 10 points. 17) Swansea. D L L L W D. 5 points.
i didn't realise it was his brother, but swanseas managers bro played for us neil! and a small positive perhaps i noticed in the last week of the season spurs play 3 times in 7 days home v manure on the sunday away to lester on thursday away to us on the sunday
Well there we have it... I've thought for a long time that Robertson is vastly overrated as a defender. His best attributes are without doubt attacking and before signing Grosicki I advocated on here playing him left midfield in front of Tymon. If Liverpool want him I'd snap their hands off for anything plus Markovic. And as for Niasse, he has made a difference but I don't think he's the player to lead the line should we stay up next season. The only parameter for me is how he might improve after a full pre season here.
As a neutral, I'd prefer Hull to stay up than Swansea (or Palace), but I hope you are right about West Brom being switched off and "on the beach" already - we play them at Turf Moor on Saturday. Our last game of the season - also at Turf Moor - could be a safety blanket if both us and West Ham need just a point to secure safety and then both sides could pass the ball to each other and play out a boring 0-0 draw.
We have 39....Swansea can get to 41, Palace to 47 and Tigers to 43. Even if Hull lose to Palace, they could well reach 40, while if Palace lose, they can still finish on 44. Dyche certainly not counting any chickens yet but I hope we can beat the Baggies (we lost 4-0 at their place) on Saturday to make the last two games more enjoyable.
38 is the number. If us n Swansea reach it we're down. They won't win three games. They might win two. We should win one, can't see us winning two, so we need a point against palace. But if Swansea win two...
WBA haven't scored or won since 18 March 2017 when they beat Arsenal 3-1. They play Burnley, Chelsea and Manchester City next. I can see them getting nothing out of those matches. Pulis and his team may want to be on the beach but the owners may want to see a better return for their money. Pulis and his team may well have something important to play for in the last game of the season. By the time we play Palace one point may be enough to keep us both up. Interesting end to the season.
even if we beat Sunderland and Swansea lose to Everton and then we draw with Palace Swansea can still overtake us
