Fair play to Klitschko he was immense for most of that, gave AJ a hell of a fight as predicted. And he'll take the defeat with good grace, unlike other certain boxers.
Before this fight, I never really got the hype of boxing. Now, I get it. I really ****ing get it. That had me on the edge of my seat throughout.
**** me! So entertaining for a heavyweight bout. You can tell Klitschko is a such a class above anyone AJ has fought before, and after around round 5 or so I thought he was certainly going to lose. I just did not see that ****ing coming... This guy is special, as I've said before... I can really see him going on to unite the division. What a great sporting event that was... more than made up for the footy earlier. Absolutely fan-****ing-tastic. Pub atmosphere was immense! Woaaahhhh Anthony Joshua!
Joshua has called out Fury. Oh please happen, and then I can watch the thoroughly satisfying sight of Fury getting knocked out.
The adrenaline rush when you see someone throw a huge punch, and the crowd and commentators go crazy, there's not really another sport like it. Of course this fight was a classic, they're not all like that!
I listened to the fight very shortly after the event, knowing the result, but the Radio 5 commentary was like the BBC's Harry Carpenter from years ago. I'm not even remotely interested in boxing these days but this match really did grab me. It was huge and I was quite captivated by it.
Pleased for Joshua...he's one of the few boxers who comes over as a reasonable human being. I hate all the pre-fight build up and hype when everyone tries to suggest there is real blood lust there...they are just two sportsmen preparing for a major competition. The promoters still act as if we are in the 18th century having fights in a field. Joshua at least never buys into that.
Watched a full replay of the boxing, wow the 5th 6th and 11th were incredible. Probably the most exciting I've seen. Brand AJ on his way to the very top and I'm loving it.
