As someone used to say ‘more research required’! You had me looking for a non-existent Catterick card for a good 10 minutes. It’s running at bally Beverley. First run in a handicap though which is of standout note and Pindaric is most interesting, methinks. Someone lost a large wodge on this animal though. Purchased for £140,000 in August 2015 and then a year later sold for just £10,000. Let that be a lesson to you all, troops, re the perils of racehorse ownership.
Hargam set to go over fences, for the first time, on Bank Holiday Monday. Be interesting to see if they have a rejuvenating effect on him. Could he return to a perching in the mid 150’s over the big ‘uns?!?
You should know Barney, it's all the same up north!!! Interesting that the horse has had the cruelest cut over the winter, I wonder how much of his issues were down to lack of concentration!! We shall see I guess.
17:40 Punchestown - Shaneshill e/w (Was something wrong with him at Cheltenham? Hopeful of a better run this time). Punchestown is top NH racing, very enjoyable!
Great Field and Ballyoisin racing each other in the novice today and I can't wait to see them both. Hoping they get a safe round in and continue to progress over the coming years. Two super horses potentially. Great Field tends to throw a few lazy leaps in at his fences and Ballyoisin also fell lto when going well. Still relatively young for their chasing careers though and should be getting wiser with each go.
Don't Touch It with a handsome compliment to Great Field. If I was a gambling man, that 5/4 would be looking like 33/1 right now for GF.
Well in Wooly my son!Two wagers for me this afternoon. Great Field/Next Destination dbl 7/2 & No Comment 9/1 in the 3m hcapp hurdle.
Just love those banks races! After 4m still two brave horses and jockeys fighting tooth and nail, some spectacle. Nice for Barry Cash to get a notable win, still remember him driving Brave Inca home in the Supreme all those years ago!
