I like most Sunderland fans wished Hendo nothing but well with his transfer. Having seen the lad play many times I couldn't believe Liverpool were going to pay anything like 20 Million for him. He's just not that good for me. Yesterday he looked lost for the most part with many in the crowd undoubtedly wondering where their money went. Playing in front of fans that have been spoiled over the years watching Gerrard, I honestly fear for Hendo. I fear the size of his fee coupled with the need for instant success could crush the lad.
I was thinking along similar lines...I hope that this move is not the breaking of him! However, if it does go tits up; I'm sure we will have him back here for a couple of million.
He'll have to adapt pretty quickly. With a 20 million price tag the crowd and management will be expectant. He was non-existent yesterday, I was never a massive fan of him at Sunderland as he went missing far too often. Maybe it was the occasion that got to him yesterday, having spent so long up here I'm sure there were mixed emotions for him yesterday. Was a great bit of business for SAFC.
Great bit of business by us to move him on and I don't think we will miss him one bit We are looking pretty strong with regards to our squad this season and I still fancy us to bring 2players in to improve us even more esp. down the left hand side Good luck to the lad, would be a shame if he turns out to be a flop
Like Flag, I never really rated him, more often than not he was very average, but as a local lad I always wanted him to do well. Also even if he doesn't do well at Liverpool, I'm sure that he'll be able to carve out a very lucrative career else where in the Premier, I think that in a few years if he does flop, we may have gone past signing average players and we'll be looking for those that take us to the next level, and unless he makes great strides in improving his all round game) I don't think Henderson will ever return to us as a player. Don't feel to bad for him if he doesn't make it, when he retires in his mid thirties he'll be a multi-millionaire and will never have to work again.
I rated Jordan as a RW but, as a CM he is a disaster at present. Liverpool will improve him more than we could in my opinion and like cyprus hope that he gets the time to show what he can do. As said great bit of business for us not so sure about Liverpool though.
Great deal for Henderson and he could always have said "No!" to Liverpool. I fear he will fail but KD must be able to see something more than me in the lad...time will tell.
Yes I agree, I think Jordan is in for a rough season as the Liverpool fans are not well known for their patience if someone is struggling , ask Roy Hodgson. I would like to think hell be ok but as said previously he has his bank balance to cheer him up. I cant see him making anymore England appearances in a hurry too.
Wish the lad well, but I fear the worst. The Liverpool fans will not accept paying 20 mill for a "prospect"!
When Liverpool scored he walked over and joind in the celebrations but looked very uncomfortable. I felt for him and hope it work out but could see him back at SAFC
He was poor yesterday, anonymous and the cynic in me would say it was a typical Henderson performance When you look at the fee we got for him and how that money has been utilised it's been tremendous business by Sunderland. Colback and Meyler are far superior players in my opinion.
Yeah, so what the hell was that challenge on Colback? Otherwise, people have seen him play and he's had some great u21 games -however the Liverpool fans must be pissed off with Jordan and Caroline, 55 millioin!?!? At least they got Charlie Adam.
Shamless. Agreed. 55,0000,000, F*****G FIFTY FIVE MILLION. Thanks to Liverpool the two selling clubs have been given a sh*t load of money to build decent squads. wink, wink. LOL
yeah bit nasty that was should have been a booking, wonder if there is some history there because ive never seen henderson make a challenge before!
