If people can see that going to this type of meeting has a positive outcome then more would be inclined to give up their free time. As is usually the case nothing changes and people become disillusioned.

I don't think that's true, I know of at least twenty people who've volunteered and not been invited and there's never been any shortage of people at previous meetings (which were much bigger).

It beggars belief that this was tolerated.

Tell people well enough in advance and make the location accessible and people, like you say, will be there.

It was largely ignored and these things were brought up anyway.

I though exactly the same when I read it - that comment should have been the signal for everyone to *stand up and walk out*

*The OSC would obviously be excused from that of course of action.

    Sorry for the late response.
Rich Uttley is represnting the OSC.
He is our social media officer. Rich does our live matchday reporting and is a passionate supporter. The OSC board has discussed the agenda and Rich will express its views. To be honest, they are in line with what most supporters would have put forward from what I have seen.

Geoff's representing the Trust, the only other person I've found that's going is a lad called James from Hedon.

I don't know James, but I did notice him tweet 'Bobby Madley **** off ****' on Saturday, so he seems a fairly decent chap.

26 April. I didn't put my name forward and I don't know who's going other than the OSC and the Trust.

Do you know of anyone who has been told 'thanks but no thanks' ?
Seems odd that no-one knows anything.

Obviously, they should have emailed all those who took the trouble to apply and tell them if they've been successful or not, but that's too much effort. (edit: I've just seen that someone who applied has received such a message, so maybe they're sending them out now)

It seems they're also not willing to say who has been invited, until they have their permission to do so, which they won't have until after the meeting, though they have confirmed who's attending from the club.

That seems fair enough, waiting to ask the participants.

I think it's disappointing that the fans are not informed of who's going to a meeting to represent them.

Presumably anyone attending to speak on behalf of fans is happy for people to know who they are and what they say, they should have been told in advance that their attendance would be made public.

The representatives are from the groups invited. These are just interested individuals and aren't there to represent anyone. Common courtesy would say ask them first. They probably won't have any problem with it.

I'm in favour of the meetings in principle, and I'm not having a dig at those that are taking the time to be involved, but I'm unsure how someone can select themselves to be a representative for others.

They were invited to represent the fan base - 'If you feel like you would like to represent our fan base then please apply by...'

I agree with Chazz. I do not think for instance that the OSC represents supporters, it is representative of supporters. Those that attend do not have a mandate from anyone, they are simply a sample of the supporter base that can voice opinions.
