    Yeh mate I had two
    One matured 2001 got hardly a thing been in for 10 years
    The other matured 2006 got even less in 15 years
    Then had some money fixed for five years and got £68 interest
    I have been robbed
    I'm not a gambler with savings took the safe option and lost

    Ohh and that £68 I got
    I contacted financial ombudsman
    He gave me recommendations
    I got £1500 compensation
    It took a few months

    On a similar note, the bankers who willy nilly gambled away (what turned out to be the nations) money on ''sub-prime'' lending. Wasn't the clue in the question ?
    Also, if all this money was'' lost'', would like to meet the people who ''found'' it so I could ask for a bit back

    There is a very good film titled "Inside Job" which is mockumentary narrated by Matt Damon that brilliantly explains what those devious financial bastards actually got up to.
