Roof, Gylfi should play in the 10 position. You don't shunt our best player out wide to keep a below average player like Fer on the pitch. If he's not better than Gylfi in the 10 position, not good enough to play on the wing, and not good enough to play as a holding midfielder, guess what, he should pack his arse on the bench. That's been our main issue this season, we've sacrificed Gylfi out wide for a poor player, whose level has always been bottom 3 PL, and as a result it's isolated our talisman and created a huge imbalance and lack of pace/width in the midfield/final third.
Take it up with Clement , everything was going well with the Naughton , Fernandez , Mawson , Olsson Routs , Cork Fer , Carroll , Siggy Llorente ... line up till injuries let us down . If we can get this line up back to par the last 5 games , we have more than a chance to pull ahead of Hull if they slip up a bit .
Yeah, I seen it. Shame he just stood offside all the time for us. Had all of the physical attributes to be a top striker.
All I care about is him playing well so we can cash in on him , I would be more than disappointed if he ever played for us again , the spoiled mercenary ...
I think he signed a one year extension , or we wouldn't allow him to go . If there was one thing I enjoyed with Gomis , was pissing him off when he couldn't get his way and played with no heart ... fuk em
For one Fer is a good player that can produce goals, Gylfi is a good player that can score goals, So both should be in the centre ground complementing each other...Also Gylfi should only take free kicks and penalties and never corners because that is a total waste of his input in the middle. There are others who should be able to take corners...
Can't see why Gylfi isn't played centre midfield. He has to be in the team but just isn't in the games out wide as he's not a winger and drifts too far inside leaving Olsson on his tod. Gylfi has played/plays CM for Iceland and plays well there. This scenario is failing playing him in his best position. Clement seems to prefer the 5 man midfield so play Gylfi in that midfield in a position that will give us a better chance of scoring goals. Sounds simple. Clement persisting with Gylfi out wide is winding me up. Saw the team sheet at half 2 on Saturday with Gylfi out wide again and decided not to look for a stream. I'd assumed all week after West Ham that Clement would think we need to go down fighting so set us up to have a go whilst playing our best player and main goal threat in his right position. Honestly thought he would have changed it for Watford. Seeing that team sheet annoyed me as I knew it would be a repeat of the West Ham game.
I'm not sure why, but that reminded me of one of Hitler's delusional strategy meetings with his generals from the bunker as Berlin burned all around him.
Might be a good idea to start Baston the rest of the way and bring Llorente in at 60 minutes . If it's one thing that Llorente is reknown for with us is a flair for dramatics and late goals and Llorente needs to come back from injury slowly . Lets roll the dice on our 15 million pound transfer and then bring in Llorente the assassin .Just a thought
We'll beat Stoke at the weekend and then go on an unstoppable run Failing that, pray that NK fires a nuclear weapons, as technically, we'll never be relegated then
Well if you take premiership history into account, then yes. But that's an extremely narrow view. Would that also make Swans the only Welsh team to go bust twice- after failures in the top flight?
