Just read the article. Stroud was the referee, the one in charge, so to blame it on another official and say that Stroud has been badly done by is just ridiculous. Stroud either didn't know the rules and/or was too easily swayed by his assistant - either way he comes out of it looking like he shouldn't go near a black shirt and whistle for some considerable time.
