An over-enthusiastic player that is a massive hypocrite. If you are going to start a problem that did not need to be started, why do the same thing you got angry over? Song should have gone. And Gervinho should got a yellow if Barton allowed the ref to deal with it. Instead he starts a problem which ends up with him diving. Then afterwards telling the ref and everyone that he got punched.

We will. But Barton started a problem in a game that was going nowhere and ends it by doing what he thought Gervinho did. What is the point of that?

No Gervinho started the problem. Dived twice! He doesn't dive then this doesn't happen. Idiot

You seem to forget that these things are unfortunately part of the modern game, if any Arsenal player did it they would have done the exact same thing. You can defend Gervinho all you want, but if he remained calm he would have stayed on the pitch, like Sagna and Song did instead of slapping a player. Also as for him diving, we don't know how hard he hit him, added to that the shock of it. I'm not defending Barton, it's just it's hard to gauge considering I was watching it on a tv, so for all we know it might not have been an overreaction.

Yeah and its right and in the law book that you can grap a guy and start a problem over something the ref should deal with. Its Barton that started the whole farce and then ended it by doing the thing he got angry about. <doh>

Barton's game was exposed when he told Van Persie that he got punched.

Find me where in the rule book it says it's a sending off offence for grabbing someones shirt? There would be at least 5 sending off's a game!

You fail to see the point here. Ignoring the diving he'd been doing all match, Gervinho could have just let it go, let the ref deal with it and everyone moved on. Instead he gets into a tangle with Barton, with him choosing to slap him in view of an official. This was a yellow offence alone. He only got red because of a clear dive for a penalty which there was barely any contact involved with Cheick Tiote.

Why do it though? Never said it was red for what he did, but why start a problem over a thing that the ref should deal with? Pointless.

Wilshere's game is exposed when he goes down clutching his leg or covering his face 10 times a match...

Oh the hypocrisy, then why didn't Gervinho leave it for the ref? Instead he acted like a thug and slapped him. I'll enjoy watching you on Thursday nights on channel 5

It was your player that chose to slap him, Joey was always getting a yellow for dragging him up.

Its not easy to stay calm when some graps and then holds you with two hands. You can't get a red for a dive. The red was for the slap.

If he felt so strongly about diving to grap a player like that, why dive afterwards? Then lie about getting punched.

Considering doing that in front of the ref he was clearly going to get a yellow he should have left it. The slap alone wasn't a red though, the slap was a yellow, the dive was also a yellow, 2 yellows makes a red.
