I'm not sure if I'm being whooshed here...but...no, that's how am I with my girls. They are bloody drama queens. If the dogs in anyway not right, I'm more than happy to get him sorted. He normally has the pedigree dry food, but can't chew great at the mo, so I bought him a pile of those Caesar dog food things. His dry stuff that he's picked at all day, I mixed one tin with that. His bowl looks like it's been cleaned in the dishwasher now little bastard lol. Still, means he's had 2 doses of the antibiotics today so thats good!
Mine has got airs and graces recently. Got him chopped up heart from supermarket for a change and now the other dog foods he had for the past 4 years, Caesar and similar, he picks at and leaves his biscuits. However hearts and pet mince I get from the local butcher and he cleans the bowl and licks it clean.
Absolutely, prefer dogs to humans! We had 3, a golden retriever, and 2 newfies, sadly down to 1 newf now, but desperate for more. Tried to mate her last week with my friends stud dog, so hopefully lots of little ones running around soon.
Love Newfoundlands. Went to Corfu a few years ago and a bar owner in Kasssiopi had one that used to lay on a stone bench getting spoilt rotten by all and sundry. Called it Scuba. Anyone swimming in the harbour found themselves being rescued whether they wanted to be or not as its instincts kicked in and it dived off the wall into the water. Read on a website a few years later it had been found dead in the road, hit by a driver who didn't stop. From the comments you got the impression if the locals found out who it was there would be another body found.
I like that name, great dogs. Our first was a rescue, the one we have now was left over from a litter my friend had. We sponsor dogs trust too, and were looking to adopt, but the stipulations they put on you are ridiculous and we found it almost impossible to adopt. Great story, although sad ending.
Had four dogs, all rescue ones. All differing types of terrier. First one we had 18 years, second one 11 years. Third one died last year aged 16, got him as a four year old and had him 12 years. Still got the one we got 4 years ago to keep him company in his older years. Wouldn't be without one.
Just had a look and found this. Apparently it was the dive centre's dog. Thought it was a bar owner's as it used to commandere a stone bench outside a particular bar. http://www.corfu-divers.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=116&Itemid=256
Google Scuba the Kassiopi dog and there a couple of pictures of him and a few mentions. He was quite a star in those parts with locals and visitors alike.
You don't get a discussion about rescue dogs on other boards match threads. It's all full of boring stats n facts.
On the premier league preview programme, they were talking about Coutinho and Firmino, and before that they showed a a few quick clips of some brazilian players doing fancy things in the premier league, one of them was Geovanni's goal against Arsenal. Didn't seem worth starting a new thread over so I just shoved it here. Little things like that remind me how far the club have come.
You can park in town near the railway station - catch the park and ride shuttle, it's 3 or 4 quid. Makes getting away from Stoke a lot easier.
Agreed - no colours, stay switched on and eyes in the back of your head are the order of the day, the grandchildren of the ''naughty forty'' are snidey little bastards!
