4th leaves us with too many **** scenarios so we need to stop ****ing about and win every game.

4th means we have a play off game inbetween the first two games of the season and could go out there and then.

4th also means that if Utd win the Europa AND Leicester win the Champions League we still don't qualify.

Unlikely yes but let's avoid this altogether and just get 3rd.
 
I think 3rd is well within our reach and should definitely aim for that or higher.

More concerned with creating a buffer between ourselves and 5th first.

Leicester win the champions league they take 4th spot qualification.
Utd win Europa they get a 5th champions league place.

No need for the and bit, people seemingly get confused

If you look at who's likely to be in that pot, and the thus the seeds, you're right, the opposition is highly likely to be top draw in that play off game.

Yep, I believe they are getting rid of this playoff bit next year and I couldn't handle getting 4th and then out in a play off. I imagine you'd piss yourself laughing though. <laugh>
 
I think over two leg we should be able to handle playoff. I cannot remember when we failed in the playoff. I can remember that of Everton.
Can anyone educate me?.

I read somewhere the other day, that the seeded play off sides (you'd not be one of them) could include PSG, Dortmund, Sevilla, Zenit and Napoli <yikes>

won't include PSG.. will be suprised if it does as they are more likely to win the thing that that. it will be nice and ****atelli

It could be dortmund or hoffenhiem. nobody really knows yet with 10 to go. hoffenhiem with resect are draw kings and could well just peter out. they are asured of 4th now.

It will be napoli

And sevilla... hey it could be atletico :)

?? PSG are currently 2nd in their Ligue 1 and could actually win it. this is about qualification for next year... nothing at all to do with this years CL.

As in i would not be surprised if they win thier league...

My view is nice will take 3rd and go into the qualification round of CL... ok...

Ah, I didn't put my mito autocorrect on so your first paragraph made no sense and looked like you were talking about CL rather than the league <ok>

Monaco are in best shape to win their league with GD and point advantage. Do they get 2 automatic and 3rd in play off though? If so then yeah PsG will make it to group stages as won't finish 3rd

apology accepted :)

Yes they get 2 auto and then one to qualifiers. It is only a 3 point gap right not at the top so its a close call in france for once. but yes it is a vastly better gd for monaco. Nice have played one more and have drawn a huge amount so i kind of expect them to fall back
