Lovren isn't going anywhere, you're right. You can see him and Klopp get on very well off the pitch. Klopp gave him loads of respect (and Hugs) after the Stoke game (and when Bobby scored!). Lovren staying is a banker imo.
Yeh Lovren will deffo be with us for 2-3 more seasons He shouldn't be first choice though Think he'd be alright as a back-up to Matip and a new first choice CB as he has improved a bit under the german general
Is Gomez a realistic option for CB? I'd have thought he'd have been ahead of Lucas earlier this season if he was thought of that highly. Truth is that Matip and Lovren will stay, Klavan is a liability and Lucas was only ever cover because they weren't sure about Gomez......what has Gomez done this season to change that? =2 CB's required. Or Sahko plus one. On Sahko, I feel it's over for him. Although, I'm d like to think that if Klopp really rated him (and only Klopp), he'd have the ability to see that he's knuckled down and bring him back under a strict behaviour agreement.
Truth be told, we should buy Neymar and train him to be a LB to free up Milner to play further forwards.
How do you know Gomez is reliable, do you watch him over the garden fence? We've not seen enough of him to know how he'll work out, and such a long-term injury sometimes damages the confidence of a player. Lovren is improving, but not enough, I agree he made some bad errors against Stoke. We need to bring someone in who is more or less the finished article. Sakho is erratic and must have run over Klopp's dog or something because there doesn't seem to be a way back.
To be fair you said "Lovren and Klavan are unreliable which only leaves Matip and Gomez.". By pointing out two players who you have directly said are unreliable, then paired Gomez with a reliable option such as Matip, you have inferred Gomez as a reliable option. Of course in the court of law, i wouldn't know where i would stand as you haven't directly said those words "Gomez is reliable" but i think it pretty reasonable to assume you said that.
Not really. I didn't say he was reliable, nor did I say he should be starting. The inference is that these are the only two centre backs who deserve a chance to stay st this club. Gomez is a talented youngster so why would we get rid of him?
Mamadou Sakho has been unfortunate so many things has gone against him. When he was a regular for Liverpool, he was the crowd favourite. Since the drug allegation (true or not) and missing training he lost respect of those who liked him. It is going to be a miracle if Klopp have him back
