With home games against Boro, Burnley & Stoke along with Sunderland away you'd surely fancy them to get another 2 or 3 points.

How many points do you think will be needed to stay up? I keep getting to 37 when I go through it.

Hard to say, it depends entirely on whether Swansea and Boro pick up. If we win our home games and get 9 points that would be enough. 37 would probably do it as you're asking Swansea to get 9 points from their last 6 games. We theoretically only need 7 from 6 if Boro don't pull it out the bag. So effectively, beat Watford and Sunderland and we're safe, if Swansea lose 2 more games and we win two more, it's over. It's in our hands.

I'm sorry I don't get it why would you want a team below us to pick up a point??
It's us or Swansea. All we have to do is match their results.
    Clement looks shot too.
If we win our next two maybe we will go above palace I dunno, all I think about is we have three below us. Let's keep it that way.

just because they are below us now doesn't mean it will stay that way
I'd rather two teams who are around us get two points between them than three points between them

Two wins would force Swansea to get three to be sure or at least two wins/two draws. We really could do with picking up the odd away point, Stoke are not in good form but watching them last night they could have beaten Liverpool and with our terrible away record you do wonder if we can get anything on the road because its making our home games such pressure matches. Looking at Swansea's fixtures Watford, Manchester utd and Sunderland away and at home to Stoke, Everton and WBA like ours there is some decent games to get points from. Lets hope some how we can get something next week.

With Swansea's games and form, I just can't see them winning three. They're nothing without Llorente either.

we need some daylight to appear in the next 4 games?
Swans COULD be struggling if they don't beat Watford?
    Watford (a)
    Stoke (h)
    Man U (a)
    Everton (h)
    Sland (a)
    Brom (h)
I'd love a point at Stoke

It's Swansea's last 2 which worry me. They could easily win both

Hopefully Harry back next week. Big miss yesterday. Hudd available too. Stoke away is winnable. That's the attitude we need. Win next week and that gives Swansea a massive job to avoid relegation. That's the way to look at it.

Looking more and more like City or Swansea to join Sun'land and Boro for the drop. Swansea have Watford away next week so with Boro hosting Arsenal, our game at Stoke suddenly becomes our next cup final.

I think 3 wins will see us safe. No reason why that can't happen before we go to Palace in the penultimate game. Our away form is wretched but until next Saturday I don't think we've had a winnable away game under Marco. The away form pre Christmas is the bit which has handicapped us (Boro, Sunderland, Watford, West Ham). I think next Saturday is the perfect chance for us to get something away, just as long as we don't let Stoke dictate the play like they did in the home game.

The only winnable away we've had under Marco was Fulham in the cup, we were awful that day but let's put it down to a tactical decision to "concentrate on the league" ;)
