On Wednesday evening in my queue a small young person entering the stadium through the turnstile did not rotate it fully so the system froze until a steward entered and rotated the turnstile fully. I am of average height but the scanner is placed so high on the wall that it is impossible to see where to place the card or print out. The unit should be lower down at average waist height. In addition the screen in front of the box is the "obvious" place to offer the card or print out and the steward has to come and place it correctly. These issues obviously caused delays to entry.
BBC Radio Humberside @RadioHumberside The council led group which monitors safety at the KCOM Stadium says a full investigation into the turnstiles needs to be carried out.
In corporate, it's the opposite way round, the scanners are at waist height, which is a bit daft when you have to scan something that you have to wear round your neck.
It is a valid point At the moment the only issue is people grumbling about queuing and missing kick-off, but what if we get a bumper crowd for a must-win game to guarantee safety and amid a powder-keg atmosphere there's a first minute goal which the queuing fans hear and they try to rush the turnstiles to get in. It is a potential safety issue.
Sometimes impossible to avoid arriving later due to work/family commitments. You must be in a minority with printed tickets. All the time they don't scan.
You're way off here. I often arrive for games with 45 minutes to spare the queues in the south stand are atrocious. Often walking half way around the ground it feels like. When we were selling out the stadium you arrive literally 10 mins before and there would be about 8 people in front of me. My seat hasnt changed, i arrive earlier, yet I get in later. But no it's the fans fault?
Don't be daft. The obvious answer is to arrive the day before, sacrifice a goat, and then you might get in on time. It's not Allams fault he removed a system that worked perfectly and installed an absolute ****show, it's our fault.
That's bollocks I'm sorry. I have been flexible with Saturday matches and my arrival time. Whatever time I arrive the queues are around to the South East corner and double back. It's a ridiculous state of affairs.
New 'Tap & Go' Entry System In Place At KCOM Stadium - 11/08/2016 Supporters will find a new 'Tap & Go' entry system in place at every turnstile at the KCOM Stadium from Saturday. The new system is designed to make entry to the stadium quicker and easier than before, whether you’re using a Season Membership card, an individual match ticket or a print-at-home ticket. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...kcom-stadium-3242251.aspx#76KRow2Hil4hcwbZ.99 That went well then...
For about 10 years we watched the second half of the lunchtime tv game in The Botanic and left when it finished, and we never missed KO. No chance now – silly me, I should know better and change my routine to take into account the new improved turnstyle system, and not leave it so late.
It's bollocks? really? ****, I must have accidentally queue jumped on the times I've actually turned up slightly earlier and not had to queue. I apologise to all of the invisible people I jumped in front of.
And while they are at it they will ignore the crush at the top of the stairways from Park Street bridge when leaving the stadium, the packed concourses, and the way the home fans are kept waiting by an iron fence behind the East Stand and the away section whilst away fans can leave at leisure, and walk through the home fans leaving the ground with no trouble what so ever. The appalling state of the pot holed Walton Street Car Park will also not be looked into and the bottle neck caused when everyone attempts to leave at the same time with no stewards or anyone on traffic duty in the area having all gone home two hours earlier. Expect a badly written report ignoring everything in about five years time.
