Although i appreciate Chaplow has the bite we may need for the game, i dont think he should ever be used on the wing. Have him on the bench and if we look like we need a bit of harrassment then bring him on in the middle. Guly should start on the wing for me (with de Ridder coming on as an impact sub in the second half again).

I don't feel that Fox should start yet having only been on the bus 5 minutes.

Going to be a good game Saturday against a tough side, my prediction is 0 - 3 to Saints though because we're tougher <whistle>

Unless we play with the diamond...

    Cork
    Chaplow, Hammond
    Lallana

However, I believe we used the diamond away at Rochdale last season and that didn't work well at all!

Does anyone know if you can buy tickets on the day in the away end? Saints website is pretty vague

Surely Fox won't start when he's only had a couple of days with team. You could risk trying a striker, but not a defender.

Adkins must be loving it...the players are making it hard for him. That's what competition does. Chaplow is looking hot at the moment...he may start with de Ridder on bench.

Thank you for your enquiry. I can confirm that Southampton Supporters can pay at the turnstiles on a cash only basis.

I'm going for either a score draw of 1-1 or a 1-2 win for the saints. COYR

1-0 Saints. Barnsley Hard to break down

    Davis
    Richardson Fonte Seaborne Harding
    De Ridder Hammond Cork Lallana
    Lambert Connolly

This is who I prefer but think Guly will start in front of De Ridder. So the same team as last week
    only Seaborne in for Martin.

    Team confirmed:

    Davis
    Richardson Fonte Seaborne Harding
    Guly Cork Hammond Lallana
    Lambert Connolly

Subs: Bart, Martin, Chaplow, Schneiderlin, De Ridder

FIRSTLY - Why is he playing Guly and Seaborne after their recent performances? Just doesn't make sense to me personally

No Barnard on the bench. I guess if we need a change up front, Guly will move there and de Ridder will come on.

Same team as last week Seaborne in For Martin

    Adkins chooses Seaborne.

Shows he would of played last week if not ill. Martin must be disappointed.Did he make the bench ?

Why is he playing Guly and Seaborne after there performances?? Probably because we won both of the games and you don't change a team when its winning!! On another note nice to see Doble starting for Bournemouth today!!

martin is on bench yes but I think it's unfair to drop him after his performance last week, and how seaborne played tuesday (poor)

Seaborne was clearly Adkins' preferred pick during pre-season. One apparently poor game against Torquay hardly changes that. I'm really not too surprised that he starts.

Happy to see Guly keep his place - his defensive work isn't given anywhere near enough credit by many people on here.
