Brentford v Bristol City Andreas Bjelland could return to the Brentford squad for the visit of Bristol City. The defender missed the Bees' last four matches with a hamstring problem but was fit enough to be called up for international duty with Denmark. Alan Judge, who this week signed a new two-year contract, is back in training after recovering from a broken leg but will not be ready yet. Fellow midfielder Josh McEachran is still out with an ankle injury. Bristol City could be unchanged after thrashing promotion-chasing Huddersfield 4-0 before the international break. Regular right-back Mark Little has recovered from the hamstring strain which sidelined him for six weeks. But midfielder Korey Smith has impressed in that position in recent weeks and might keep Little out. Milan Djuric is absent following hernia surgery but the Bosnian striker could be back within a couple of weeks. Match facts Brentford have won four of their last five league games against the Robins, drawing the other. Bristol City haven't kept a clean sheet in a league game at Griffin Park in their last 11 trips there (17 goals conceded), last doing so in January 1997 (0-0). Only Chris Wood (14) has had a hand in more Championship goals in 2017 than Brentford duo Jota (eight goals, four assists) and Lasse Vibe (eight goals, four assists). Tammy Abraham could become the first Bristol City player to net 20 goals in a Championship campaign since Nicky Maynard in 2009/10 (20). There have been 117 goals scored in Championship games involving Brentford; only Norwich (121) and Rotherham (120) have seen more. The Robins are unbeaten in their last four games (W2 D2), keeping three clean sheets in the process. Their win over Huddersfield was their first against any of the current top six since vs Leeds in September. please log in to view this image All you need to know about today's opponents. BRENTFORD After successive home defeats to Huddersfield Town and Wolves, Brentford bounced back in style with a 5-3 away win at Burton Albion. The Bees trailed 3-1 at half-time that day, but two late goals secured victory. Now 12 points off the play-offs and ten clear of relegation, the Londoners, currently 14th in the Championship, are surely only playing for pride. HEAD COACH At the time of his departure from Walsall, Dean Smith was the fourth longest-serving manager in England. In just shy of five years at the helm, he transformed the Saddlers from League One strugglers to promotion chasers and led the club to a first ever Wembley appearance – against City in the 2015 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final. After finishing ninth last season, the 46-year-old has had to cope with the loss of top scorer Scott Hogan, who left for Aston Villa in the January transfer window. OFFICIALS Referee Simon Hooper will be in charge of the match, assisted by Robert Hyde and Adam Crysell. Carl Brook has been named as the fourth official. TICKETS City have sold their full 1,660 away allocation. LAST TIME OUT Bristol City 0-1 Brentford, December 13th 2016. City suffer their third home defeat of the season but not for the lack of trying, as 18 shots at goal fail to find the net. The sucker punch arrives midway through the second half when Romaine Sawyers tries his luck from distance with a shot that deflects in off Maxime Colin. LAST SEASON Sky Bet Championship: 9th FA Cup: Third round (Lost to Walsall) EFL Cup: First round (Lost to Oxford United) DID YOU KNOW? lovely day for it, a few pints in the london apprentice on the river and 3 points - sat in the brentford end but what the hell
Nice little bonus for me just noticed that BEin sports here in Oz are showing the City game live- result! I shall record it and get up not check the net and watch it all - I bet had we not hammered Huddersfield we wouldn't be live. We can get a point today - Brentford have nothing to play for this season, so we should want it more.
I shall monitor it this afternoon whilst listening to War of the worlds by Jeff Wayne .....some fantastic music scores within the whole thing... hopefully completing a chapter of my little book on the geology of the NW of Scotland .... multi tasking, not only are women good at it ............

Thanks for the heads up supcon because I had no idea City's game was being beamed to the colonies and when was the last time we were shown twice in the space of 2 weeks? However the bounce from the Huddersfield fixture has long since disappeared and what I have witnessed in the first half is clearly the true measure of our ability. Is there any chance of us recovering some dignity in the second half because I'm not sure we're up to the task and the 1,600 that made the trip must be wondering if they are looking at a team heading for the drop. Let's hope we can muster some effort in the second forty-five and please tell Fielding he is allowed to leave the ground to catch a ball, but his save at the close of the half saved us from a possible humiliation.
Spoiling my morning watching this crap. Absolute garbage so far. Defence is terrible & midfield doing nothing. Tammy hasn't seen the ball yet. Same old....
And people wonder why several thousand of us (it could be more) are not buying season cards for next season...
