I'm sure we would but I still don't really see what Defoe gets out of it. I suppose he might not have been sure he'd be a success when he moved here and wanted to make sure he'd get a decent move if we got relegated.

From his reputation and attitude at his previous clubs and his overall fitness he is a solid 100% player and his goalscoring now will get Plhim his real goal - another world cup playing with England. IMO he is a credit to professional football and a true role model :emoticon-0148-yes:

It's funny how you think we're ****e but your team are our team's bitches. Good luck staying in the prem without further heavy (and intelligent) investment or its yo-yo time for you.

By coming to us he put himself in the shop window mate, he knew that if he could score goals then another EPL team would come knocking, plus it's done his International career no harm at all either.

Well for once I will take advice from a Mag. After all, you're experts when it comes to relegation.

Thats it in a nutshell as we don't know when the clause was added and he is not a mercenary - only wants to better himself and his club. At least 5 or 6 more winning goals would be nice :emoticon-0170-ninja:emoticon-0171-star::emoticon-0170-ninja:emoticon-0170-ninja:emoticon-0158-time::emoticon-0170-ninja:emoticon-0170-ninja:emoticon-0148-yes::emoticon-0170-ninja:emoticon-0170-ninja....<bubbly>:emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0162-coffe

Why confine ourselves to just 10 years of history? I just asked a simple question

You know we have had half of our relegations in the last 10 years, so it's you that is making the criteria fit you're argument.

Enjoy the Championship next year, I can genuinely say that I have enjoyed our season this year, Its been great winning the majority of our games, getting our confidence up, selling more tickets than most teams in the UK, unfortunately I don't think it will be the same for you guys

So way back in January it was all over? what a ****ing bell end you are mate. And, you would expect any manager to sell his biggest asset in January to reduce the depts. which would more or less make relegation a dead cert.

It's blatantly obvious that you know absolutely sweet **** all about football so why not just jog on back to your day job, filling shelves in the local Nisa.

Didn;t realist 2 multiplied by 2 was 6! Schools in Newcastle must be different to Durham

I've enjoyed most of our seasons in the championship - however, I've spoken to very few Mags who have enjoyed what they've watched - they've enjoyed the results most of the time but not the way the games are played - I've watched your games a few times and thought the quality down there is terrible - but I guess when you spend a world record amount on a manager's wage for that league and not far off the most ever spent by a club in the championship, you'd expect to win it surely?

To be honest when I've seen the mag goals many are from defensive errors - I'm not dissing them just stating a fact.
I'd love some goals like this at Sunderland in the premiership, but mistakes are few - we're in the big boys league not a feeder league.

When you signed lescott, Oviedo and Gibbo then sold Van Aanholt, yes Relegation was confirmed.

If you have a team offering £8m for a player who will effectively leave for free in 5-6 months time, then yeah makes sense to take the money, save £60k a week and accrue the interest, because your gonna need every single penny you can get you hands on

We have made massive profits in our transfer dealings since being relegated.

yeah 6 times, not 4, apologies I will admit when I make a mistake and get something wrong, as rare as that is. probably still less than you guys tho!

But why is that a world record? It's only relevant to England.

Random words for dramatic effect perhaps.

How much are they paying the fat waiter out of interest?
