That's 3 goals in his last 2 games for the under 17s and both his goals against Montenegro were beauts, especially his 2nd and Scotland's 6th!! I'm hoping he'll be in the starting 11 for the game against Sunderland on 31st March - he's such an exciting player to watch considering his age.

In fairness to Murphy or any of our lot, we have to often been found wanting and flimsily collapsed. Murphy has been a part of our fragility and probably doesn't justify a place, even if he has been the best of a bad bunch. Reading and Wednesday have none in the team and are well above us. I reckon some of their players might have more genuine gripes about not making this team than our underachievers. Bah!
There was a large dollop of tongue-in-cheek about the entire post, GM. I'd have been gobsmacked if any of our underperforming rabble were involved. Maybe we should put the Barry Butler memorial trophy into storage this year as I can't think of a single contender?
In fairness General, at least Murphy has SCORED goals, whilst Martin (one of the oldest players in the team!!?) has certainly been culpable for MANY of the goals we've conceded!!! We'll never know, had we given some of our youff a chance and so tied up the opposition's midfield/defence by ATTACKING with purpose more, our own fragile defence would have been under less pressure!!!!
Had Nelson not received that red card against Rotherham he would of bean my choice for bestest most favourite player of the season.

The ONLY English club to qualify for the Champions League every year since it was formed and still in with a shot at winning the FA cup 3 out of the last 4 seasons. If that's failure then they are supporting the wrong club. Most proper Gooners would be happy to keep him .
