Plenty of rumours going round that Perch will play at LB tommorow. This has terrified me and although I take rumours with a pinch of salt, the prospect of Perch vs Gervinho or Walcott just frightens me.

The reason I don't see this as rubbish is because I don't know who else is about. Please can someone make me rest a little easier and tell me there is someone better.

Reckon he might go with Ryan Taylor at right back, Simmo on the left.

I remember people on this very forum taking the p*** when we were starting with Best upfront vs West Ham last season and they ate their words- hoping for a similar outcome tomorrow. IF he keeps Gervinho quiet he will be alright by me

Perch has had ample opportunity to prove himself and he has, proved himself to be complete **** at this level. If Perch plays, we lose! It is that simple

Not a great lover of Perch, but I seem to remember the best game he ever had for us was at LB.

Perch hasn't featured in pre season so I doubt he will be match fit also Pards has made it very clear that he isn't a fan of Perch. I think Raylor will play LB (he did for part of the Leeds game) or Dummett (which is who I would play, at least it's his natural position). Jonas might even play there, you never know! Alougth knowing Pardew it will either be:

    (Right) Simmo------Saylor--------Colo--------Raylor (Left)

    or

    (Right) Saylor------Willo-------Colo--------Simmo (Left)

Maybe Perch will do an Enrique and have a **** first season and then improve immeasurably.

My mate (a Liverpool fan) transferred Enrique to Liverpool before i played him with Newcastle.

I went onto substitutions and low and behold, Perch at left back.

    So maybe a sign?

perch has by no means been amazing hes had a few shockers but so has simmo, we have been patient with simmo and hes starting to get better last season he had some brilliant games but at times was ****e too. perch has never really got a chance but he has played well in some games and ****e in others just like simmo. perch is still younger and hes pretty decent cover imo, i think its a case of perch having one really **** game and every gets on the perch is **** bandwagon.

He hasn't featured AT ALL in pre-season so I doubt it.
