    It would and it wouldn't.

It wouldn't be the worst in the sense that it would probably give Leicester the best chance of progressing.
But realistically they aren't going to win the tournament anyway, so going to the Bernabeu or the Allianz would surely be preferable.

Leicester vs Barcelona would be good.

Messi, Suarez and Neymar vs Huth and Morgan <laugh>

... perhaps ... but they have failed to beat us in our last 3 meetings and in the last two we've smashed them 4-2 at ours and 3-1 at theirs ... they may want to avoid us as much as we would want to avoid them tbf <ok> <laugh>

.. although probably not as predictable an outcome as a Seville v Liverpool game I'm guessing <whistle>

We buckled against Sevilla, could have beaten them if we didn't bottle it. They aren't that good mate.

They're certainly not CL elite. We've beaten most CL elite teams, don't forget that Fossy <ok>

... just not in the modern era eh?... and Sevilla really are quite good ... at least that's what everyone was saying before we beat them <laugh> ... certainly way better than other teams we've played at ours recently <whistle>

Yes in the modern era <doh>

Don't get things twisted mate, I'd be happy if Leicester won the CL.

Sevilla aren't really that good mate... not sure who said they were? Yes they're a decent team, nowhere near the elite clubs though <ok>

@The Liebherr Legacy basically this. It would be crap to draw them and go out but as Bod says, good chance of progressing and then getting a 'big club'

Currently third in La Liga 3 points behind second placed Barca suggests thay are nearer than you give them credit for ... plus there is the small matter of having won the last 3 Europa finals ...unless of course you are suggesting that clubs that get to that particular final are a long way short of 'the elite' ? <laugh>

OK ... you might have a point <ok>

I think Sevilla probably underestimated Leicester and paid the price for that. But, Leicester, by beating them, have now opened up the eyes of those who are left in the competition.

I doubt they'll be underestimated by their next opponents.

  12. I respect your opinion, Tobes, but I do have to protest. LCFC could yet be humiliated. The competition isn't over yet.

Do I want them to prove me wrong? Yes, I do, and I will be the first to admit it if they do. Please quote me on that in future posts, not all the other wum stuff.

  13. This thread isn't about whether or not LCFC will get humiliated in the QF of the CL, though, Bodi.

They could lose 10-0 to RM in the QF and their campaign wouldn't be a humiliation.

    It's a #fail I'm afraid bud

... so that we might understand your rather unique logic ... could you just sum up your feelings on Spurs humiliation at not getting out of the group stages of the UCL, compounded by then being summarily dumped out of the next level competition by that well known footnalling titan, KAA Gent ... we might then better understand the basis of your theories on humiliation .. <ok> <laugh>

  17. Absolutely.

I was singing your praises today, to a friend of mine.

I'm sure that you were a proud Englishman when Spurs got to the same stage in our first outing in this competition, after the embarrassment of Arsenal going out at the same stage as they did this season.

But that doesn't stop me being extremely concerned for what you are about to face in the QF.

I am not going to lie to you that it pleased me, Fosse. It didn't.

And let us not forget the abject humiliation we have suffered by the fact that three of our richest and biggest clubs - namely Chelsea, 'Pool and United - couldn't even qualify for it. That is an absolute disgrace. On that, we are in complete agreement.

So basically you're saying if we go out before the final it's a humiliation...
