Just going for a *** and then I have a happy and pretty unbelievable update on my eldest daughter and her ongoing woes.
Following on from that, she has made some progress with the insurance company and the police section who handled it. She explained this to me at the Grange last Friday. She dropped me off and went home. Later that night, she had her brand new laptop stolen from the boot of her car. She obviously got the police involved. Apparently one of the car doors hadn't been closed properly and this stops the central locking from working. She twatted Facebook, as did the unit and she also contacted head office of the pawn shops with branches in Warrington - Cash Converters and suchlike. She was also going to check home insurance to see if she was covered on that. Believe it or not, the pigs called her yesterday and told her that they'd got it after a tip-off from someone who said a guy had tried to sell them a lap-top. They asked her if it was in a bag of any description and when she told them it was in a Next carrier bag, they had it on CCTV so the **** was going to be prosecuted. I was just incredulous that the police had actually done their job. During the course of all this, she'd also been contacted by an pld college friend who'd seen what had happened and told her he could give her a hardly used new machine free of charge. Her outlook has improved dramatically. I had explained that **** times don't last forever, but this has been her first real bad run (starting with the crap at Merchant Taylors') and she thought it was never going to end. I told her it may be the first, but it won't be the last, so learn from it.
Sounds like she needs a good Welsh pirate in her life right now to cheer her up. I know one who would.
She could be whisked away with him to his new colony and become a Governor's wife and have lots of kids to help colonize the area.
