    Read this yesterday very sad. Great player Stan. Read his autobiography years ago, really good read.
    Dave Thomas from the same great qpr team is now blind too.

    Sad that he's in the state he's in but a benefit game? "The NHS way or private so he can be visited by family"? Can family not visit in NHS residential homes? Do the NHS run nursing homes?

    Appears to be an article by a hoops fan begging for money & sympathy. There's thousands more who are more deserving. Many who have worked harder, for less, & never had the means, in the 70s, to stick £50 on a dog or spunk £20 at the casino. The only benefactor from any benefit game would have to be TAS.
