    Evening gents

Where do you find out what a horse is in at price wise when running in a seller?

    18:15 Newcastle - Forest Angel

(Top weight has decent chance on handicap debut. Filly could be a lot better than Class 6? Has only run 3-times, first two races were a couple of decent Class 4 races at Newmarket in August last year on firm ground. Ideally-bred for 7f distance, and Tapeta surface might well suit. 7/2 available at present, although SP might well be better).

do you mean to purchase ? -- there is an auction after the race ......for the winner

You have to read the race conditions. The winner is sold by auction but often others in the race can be claimed for a set sum. The racing post used to have the terms but I don't think the new (****) beta version does.
Claimers are worked out via the weights with a value set if you wish to carry top weight then the horses claim price reduced by £1000 for every pound you want to get off its back.

If the top weight is 10 stone and sale price set at £10k (say) does that mean if you enter a horse with 9 stone you would have to give£4k for someone to take it?

    Is that a serious question?
