i'll be serious for a moment. Its nice but i've long since given up looking at that cos back in the day LFC were up there or there abouts and we never made a player form it.

It should teach players to WIN, a finihsing school not a development squad but it really just doesn't look like LFC players get much out of it cos every one i see looks like a kid when they step up in cups.

by contrast the everton youngsters look like they might be bigger and fitter and more able to match up with men

I doubt it's all about size, probably more to do with ability, and coaching.

Unsworth is doing a great job with our u23's

The amount they spend on defence alone is criminal. I mean we are paying over the odds for ours. I thought Moreno on £40k was bad. <yikes><ok>

you would think so yes. I can't tell, they report they pick this stuf fup off reputable papers but I would agree there.

That being the case it only strengthens the case that theres something odd about that 200mil figure. that jumped 25% over a year

Coaching maybe but we have just as many decent young lads about 14 or so.. I think we import too many and block them but then... I think every time i see a kent, wilson, or ojo i think... hmmm.. all light weight and also have no clue of the dark arts. They are like lambs to the slaughter at times in cups.

wilson and keny have a LOT of talent but neither will make a pro unitl they get a small club willing to fill in that 2/3 years of development we fail to give them.

At 18/19/20 you should be really physically able IMO and ours never look it.... but also if you look at our record we have a HUGE amount of injuries to players too. I dunno whats going on but we seem to knacker them somehow and they then don't develop

Wouldnt surprise if it's a typo and meant to be 100k rather than 10k.

Thought this a lot when see young players come through. See some of others at united like rashford, lingaard, who even though aren't big they can hold their own. Even others like fish-mensah and Blackett that have come through can hold their own. Then Arsenal have iwobi and couple others I've seen recently that are physically strong, Solanke, loftus-cheek at Chelsea. Doesn't mean they're any better because they are big and strong but it helps ease into the first team as they aren't immediately bullied off the ball.

yeah you've nailed it there. utds youths coming in is like night and day compared to our cute little rosy cheeked babies.

Its not about size as in height its about being able to survive physically. if you can't establish a base to play off of you will just be easy meat to sides in the prem and championship.... no doubt this si why so many of ours end up league 1 at best.

What like City and Arsenal you mean?

1 league defeat in 10, I'll take it.

Aiming for 38 draws is a good target for teams like Everton
