SL isn't stupid, so this situation must be beneficial to him in some weird way. I wonder how? Johnson is just a pawn. I really don't envy him stepping out into the cauldron of hate next home game. Poor chap - destined to be hated as both player AND manager. He did his best - which has led to us being in the relegation zone despite having an enviable squad to pick from. Bizarre that SL would still be sending him out there.
And really well compensated for both stints....so no, he's not really gto be considered a poor chap in any sense of the word.
He's not poor in money sense compared to me, but people hate underperforming managers (like him) more than the 'up-their-own-arses' prima-Donna players who 'earn' far more and cost far more to sack. I guess it would cost more money to sack Tomlin than LJ for example (picking Tomlin at random NOT because I want him sacked). Don't get me wrong, I want him gone, but it'll be the same players left behind which have failed so badly.
Its the managers job to inspire the players to perform, and to pick the players HE has brought to the club to do a job. Here is where it all goes t_ts up, because our players were recruited without a game plan. When Cotterill brought Freeman etc in, he had an idea of what he needed FOR THE TEAM, not just to look nice sitting around in the changing room. There has been little real planning, just window shopping with the season ticket money. Its about time Lansdown brought in a proper manager
LCFC fans were screaming at Claudio, 2 games and 6 points later, all is well again at the King Power. Blackburn were another set of fans going mental, but now they're above us. Both clubs have, supposedly, mad owners. If they're mad, where does that leave Lansdown ?
the financial fair play! did it not get rumoured we would likely be paying LT his salary as part of his transfer? I think generally there is not to much wrong with their appearances, although I would prefer they shoes not trainers with their suits and ties!
After their last champions league game it was bandied about they had turned the corner ... and to be honest Liverpool screwed up and the rest of their fixtures are less intimidating . with just 2 of the top teams to play!

apologies I mistook performances with appearances Financial fair play ... was it not rumoured that to pay his wages or the transfer fee or a signing on fee something was conjured up that would alleviate problems with fair play or wages or something?
