He read it on OTIB, someone else saying he's here but if he read further he would see that he's commentating / pundit on another game out the country. Always find it funny when Neil states things like he is in the know club
Tomlin didn't miss it on purpose.. load of bollocks. He tried lifting it in to the corner, anyone who has taken a penalty in any sort of competitive game will be able to see that! Here is a fact... I walked past SLs box on my way out from ours and looked in through the window.. he was sat with the board in what looked like a huddled meeting with his head in his hands and looked distressed to say the least. (I then got a proper coating from security)
I like LJ as a person and respect what he has tried to do for the club. I do feel he is 100% genuine in wanting the best for the club but for what ever reasons has failed miserably. SL likes Lee, but the interests of the club must always come first before any other. I do feel SL has allowed this situation to go on far too long and he alone is responsible for where we are now. By admitting this has not worked out and take immediate action, he would be doing the right thing for all concerned.
Just playing devil's advocate,so Korey Snith's own goal was on purpose was it, as bad a crime as a missed penalty ? http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/great-to-be-back-smith-3597262.aspx
We could argue this one to the cows come home. This is not just my opinion but also of the people sat around me who all had a perfect view of it. On OTIB there are fans who have raised the same subject, so what makes us all wrong? Its an opinion that is all it is.
I am more than happy to go with that, I believe we all deserve an opinion, right or wrong we are still in the **** and that is my opinion as well..
Ahhh... a conspiracy theory... that's a ****ing sign of the times!!! No player, let alone a pro, would purposely fail with a penalty - that's just my opinion as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He didn't miss it on purpose, but it was a dreadful miss- Even if we had gone 1-0 up, does anyone honestly feel that we wouldn't have let a goal in
Had anyone other than Tomlin missed the penalty then I don't think this would have been a discussion point, which speaks volumes about how many on here perceive Tomlin's personality - perhaps he is the cause of our issues and not neccessarily LJ? One rotten apple amongst the players can be a disaster for a club. I like many would not think a professional player would stoop to such lows, but then a while back I read an article by Robbie Savage (total prick btw), on some of the things he did as a player to get a manager sacked or to force a move. The modern footballer is nothing more than a mercenary, anyone who thinks otherwise is sadly mis-guided!
if he aint in the team and not on the bench v Norwich...oh and not injured ... then you might start to think
I said he missed it on purpose as a joke on twitter. Can't believe people think it's true though. Tomlin, as ROD said, is a glory hunter. He wants to be the main man saving the day. It would have also have been the perfect 2 fingers to Johnson as if to say "that's why I should be starting!". A terrible penalty yes, done on purpose? I seriously doubt it.
Absolute drivel on here today I'll say this for LJ He certainly has made our board an interesting place this season But then I believe we put a man on the moon, Elvis is dead and buried and Diana was killed in a car accident So what do I know
