Are we losing today because A) Wednesday are top 6 and we dont turn up/ain't good enough against decent teams B) We're away from home C) Wednesday were having a slight wobble in form and along came Norwich D) We're ****e and without fight E) All of the above! Bah!
To be honest I'm surprised Ruddy can do anything playing behind our defence. Dare I say 2 of the goals were down to poor defending by Martin, whose been well out of his depth as CB for the last 2 seasons. To only blame the keeper for us conceding is juvenile. Similar thing happened at my kids football this morning. One player goes pass 3 defenders without being tackled and shoots. Keeper fails to make a save that 9 times out of 10 he would have saved and the defenders moan at the keeper. Anyone of the defenders and the keeper could have stopped the goal. Truth is most of the time more than 1 player is responsible for conceding a goal (or indeed scoring a goal), not just the keeper (or the striker). The team and individual players have been generally poor all season and none of the players seem to be on top of their game. Interestingly those players that have left us seem to have got better having left. Of course the players have individual responsibility, but it can't just be a coincidence that all of them have been so poor. AN needs to go and the sooner the better.
All a bit disappointing really. This will apply the coup de grace on our twitching cadaver of a season. Hopefully either the board will grasp the nettle and get rid of AN or he will show a shred of honour and find a sword to fall on.
I'm sure I'm not alone in agreeing with you re Martin and I also like your comment that players have improved since leaving NCFC under the current management team. Unfortunately, I don't see anything really changing and unless AN does leave NO LATER than the end of his current contract, I can see most of our under 23 stars wanting to move to other clubs before his coaching/tactics scupper their careers!!!!
