What, and your jibes weren't insulting to me? I certainly dish it out I don't deny that but I can take it back.
It's easy to always blame the manager and I'm not saying everything he's doing is right, he picks the side and decides formations etc... but the players have responsibility as well. Last night was bloody dreadful especially with the 442 formation that was started with. Do you think LJ told them to sit back and let Fulham boss the game? Do you think that LJ told our keeper to make the same mistake twice for their second goal? As I said in another thread they were playing as individuals and not as a team last night, also football basics, running into space etc was missing... I still don't believe this myth that the players aren't playing for him as the Derby game in the first half proved otherwise, but I agree that things aren't right. What I am concerned about when listening to his interview, was him saying "there are individual groups of players at the club" and so feels they need to do things together....Must admit I baffled by that......surely that's the first thing that should be happening.....maybe too many players coming in too quickly..disruption in the camp.
Yes. It is a theme seen over months. The intent is not to allow the other team to boss the game, but to get compact out of possession, be patient and nick the ball. The inconsistency is that Mr Johnson wants different things e.g Rotherham deep lines v Derby high lines and pressing (one half) back to compact and deep v Fulham. I feel it is inconceivable that a team are not attempting to follow instructions. Change their pegs around in the changing room, buddying up, North v South, first six months births of the year v last ... Players do not have to like each other to play well. Team mates are not always mates. There are always cliques ... It is something which is Managed and Mr Johnson was involved in signing these players ... I don't take pleasure in thinking its another x on the list.
Confirms what I said Of course this is an argument we will continue to have until LJ is moved on. With the reasons given we will agree to disagree but will never know wholeheartedly why things are failing. I'm not that convinced that any manager other than Warnock would come in and turn things around quick enough......these players need a kick up the backside, (which he is renowned for).....not my cup of tea but knows this championship inside out... Maybe Lansdown needs to dig deep in his pocket and offer Warnock a deal that he can't refuse.
I feel anyone else could now make a better hash of this.. They weren't playing for him last night.. his tactics were confused, he's scared to death to play a genuine 2 up front, they are way too far apart. going back to a 4-5-1 so early was mystifying and totally eliminated any goal threat Taylor gave us.. he's just reacting to negativity all the time.. I feel at least the players would actually play for Pemberton..
I don't think its about that. Most on here stayed silent for 6 or 7 defeats before voicing an opinion. This is all about the future of the club, and where that might be taking us with LJ in charge
Hope the wind dies down before Saturday might be a surfeit of balls in the tyne ...and might not only be the ones they play with!
What are the rumours? If its the one about ROD and the sheep rustling from just outside Bristol thats only partially true.
'If its the one about ROD and the sheep rustling from just outside Bristol thats only partially true. I heard some rubbish that the players were sent home early this morning. And LJ was meeting SL.
Trump says that fake news is a scourge on modern society and perhaps this is a case that he had in mind.
