I believe if the Allams are still here at the end of this season there'll be no concessions whether they sell in the summer or not - (i) going to back to concessions for them is tantamount to an admission that the membership scheme was wrong - that's never happening (ii) if the plan was to change back to season cards and concessions, steps would need to be taken now to implement it in plenty of time for renewals. I'd love to be proved wrong but I see no sign of an olive branch, even one with a ****ty end on it. Looks like another season of 'selected aways' on the horizon.
Something has to change, the 'family guarantee' was only for this season, so either they come up with a revised pricing structure, or it will all kick off again.
I suppose they're waiting to know which league we'll be in next season. Probably more chance of reductions etc if we're relegated
I'd be amazed if there's concessions again before the Allams are gone. Unless they're forced to offer them by the PL.
If, as has been stated many times, it is contrary to PL rules not to offer concessions, I'm amazed the PL haven't already forced the Allams to re-introduce them.
To anyone applying common sense it is against the rules. To the Allams it isn't against the rules, and the PL know that they will fight it legally if they try to force them to comply. The PL fear that if it did go to such a case, they might lose because the rule isn't clear enough about what a concession means. It's obviously about prices, but it doesn't explicitly state so.
It's not contrary to them. It's contrary to people's interpretations of badly worded rules. The PL should sort this out in time for next season if they give a ****. For what it's worth I expect changes anyhow by our club next season.
The PL have a problem, as they wrote the rules fairly loosely, expecting people would simply follow them. What they didn't expect, was a pair of nutters to give the rules to lawyers and tell them find loopholes in them. They'll tighten them up, but the wheels turn painfully slowly.
They did indeed John. I jst think there will be a rejigging. North needs to be cheaper across the stand. And i want my ****ing seat back. Though i did slide into the posh seats again against Burnley. **** em.
As far as I can recall, didn't anyone signing up for the membership scheme sign a contract? If so, for those with the family guarantee, did it state that the price reverts to standard prices at the end of the season?
