I guess that they just utilised whatever facility they had available, no problems with the loos around Block 140 area.

I just saw the second..just. I went to the loo, the queue was massive so took all of half time, walked out into the arena as Manolo hit it into the net. Hugged a few randoms around me :)

I thought Gabbi was starting to look really sluggish so I'm at all surprised

I can't disagree with that sentiment, we were fortunate to have solved the problem with what we had available, Maya has been patient and deserved his break. Let us see what Caceres is made of. Jack still has much to learn.

Hanging, proud, but still mainly gutted.

We were easily the better team but were let down by some poor defending and possibly decision making going forward?

Ibra was the difference in the end. Haven't seen it back but looked live like it was pretty central so either went through the wall or Forster should have saved it? Can anyone confirm?

Atmosphere was MUCH better than I expected, I was able to stand all game which was a pleasant suprise. Was great to see the Markus flag pre game and everyone waving the scarfs looked fantastic.

Seeing a 5 year old kid after the game crying his eyes out was devastating too. Felt kinda proud singing on the way back up Wembley way though.

I think once Gabbi & Tadic went off we struggled to keep the ball. Boufal in particular seemed to lose it quite a lot.

For the goal to come at that stage was just ****ing sickening. Swear the cross went in slow mo for me <wah>

Overall really proud of both the team and fans, but still absolutely gutted. Being 'Brave Southampton' and having the 'moral victory' doesn't really make me feel better tbh.<wah>

Oh and a low point was a couple of Saints fans trying to fight each other barely 10 minutes into the game resulting in the police coming in.

Agreed. I've never seen the next Lampard or the next Scholes in him. But I've have for sometime now seen the next Beckham in him.

Having watched the highlights on 5 On Demand (which are not unduly biased towards Man Utd), I don't think Fraser was to blame for the first goal after all. He lined the wall up perfectly, but as Zlatan fired the free kick in, Tadić on the end of the wall jumped out of the way, which gave Fraser no chance from where he had put himself. As for Zlatan, I didn't give him credit earlier for clearing Jack Stephens' attempt off the line. Oh, and Shane Long should definitely have had a pen, but how many times have we heard that?

Finally, Manolo's second (or third) goal was quite ridiculously good. He was literally wrapped in Smalling's loving embrace, but somehow manage to strike the ball in exactly the only place that wasn't covered by De Gea or his defence.

Watching it again confirms my view that when Saints play like that we are a match for any team, and there was no way we deserved to lose that game.

Right over Davis' head. Can't work out if he didn't jump high enough (or at the right time), or just wasn't tall enough. Ten inches to the left, and it smashes Tadic in the face and doesn't beat the ball.

But Fraser was so, so slow in getting down to it.

Pretty sure it was Davis, He made a couple of mistakes which led to both goals, Unfortunately for him.

I'll have a look later. It was a silly foul to give away too really but there we go.

Boufal did put a great ball into the box, which was crying out for someone to slam it in. Not sure what others think, but I felt that Long wasn't a terrible change to make as it looked like extra time looming, and his hustle and pace could of decided it. Alas we didn't get to see.

Watched it again, and it was both of them really. Davis went one way, Dusan the other, and the ball went over Davis's head.

The guy in front of me missed both of our goals as he wanted a drink more. When we were pressing just before they scored, I asked if he would disappear again as it was obvious we wouldn't score if he was there to see it. He refused and then they went up the other end and scored. So I blame him completely :)

Oh yeah it's by no means a dig. The subs all seemed solid enough in theory (though maybe wouls have kept Gabbi on) but they just didn't work out, as is the case sometimes.
